Urban Exploration General

post stories, tips, advice, etc.

I recently checked out some abandoned hotels outside my city. Saw a whole bunch of porn magazines from the 80s and even some audio tapes with recordings of static on them.

Bump for interest.

id love to do it but i like out on the country in norway, and i dont know about any places
>>
Gonna hit a few abandoned places around where I live for shits and giggles, anyone got any advice?
>>
I love the idea and it sounds really fun. I think that 90% of the time, you are more likely to end up in an altercation with crack head larry than any interesting entity. My advice would be to concealed carry in any abandoned place you go.
>>
>>17723875
Do your research before you go. Bring supplies. Boots, a good jacket, a headlamp (two of them), gloves, and maybe a hard hat. Glasses would also be good.

Bring someone else with you. Never go alone. Let someone else besides your partner know where you're going and when you should be back.

How do you expect to see a ghost?

A lot of people ask for the paranormal phenomenons, but don't go to places, were they occur.

Short story

>Be me, bored in my house, decided to walk for a while.
>Followed the rails for a couple of miles.
>Abandoned rail line.

To be Continued

Paranormal stuff doesn't occur in places just because they look spoopy to you. More often than not, walking into an abondonded building in the middle of the night, hearing a noise behind you and running home to post about it on /x/ is actually just you narrowly escaping pic related from bashing your head in to take your wallet. That or running away cause they get spooked. Meth addicts are like deer; deer with mange or CWD i guess.

I did pretty much all of the old Kirkbride asylums on the east coast a few years back. Lost all my photos when my harddrive crashed. My gilrfriend still has all of hers though, she was with me at every one of them.

A few highlights:
Western State Hospital in Staunton, Va - A door to one of the buildings was cracked open. Full grown dead deer was on it's side just inside, couldn't have been dead for more than a couple days. It had cable and wires on top of it for some reason. In another building there was a long hallway with a chair at the end with windows around it just like on the cover of the movie Session 9. I can post a pick in a couple days when I can get the photo, but see attached movie version. This place is being converted into condos so I'm not sure what all is left as all of our exploration was early spring 2010.

At Greystone in New Jersey we snuck in and went to the church part of the building. There was burned and mutilated doll parts hanging around and on the floor. Was really creepy until we found out later they had just shot a really shit movie there called Greystone Park that we later saw on Netflix. Also at the basement level we found an old file room and took some old patient cards from the around 1900. They described each patients affliction. The best one was the chronic masturbator, other than that nothing too shocking.

The best one we did had massive fire damage and was like a Silent Hill level. I can't remember the name of it off the top of my head. But second best was the one in Staunton, Va. It had the staircases with rusty cages like Silent Hill and old wooden doors to cells with two viewing holes you just put your eyes up to see in.

When my girlfriend gets back tomorrow I can post some pictures if people are interested.

Bump. Just spent hours trying to get into a haunted hospital with friends. Have been wanting to go for awhile and when I heard it's getting demolished it was now or never.

We couldn't get in. All first floor openings were sealed with bolted metal sheets or cement.

I want to give it one more go before it's gone, but I've got no idea how to go about it.

the reason why you see alters when no one is around is because who ever died there has family who went to the location they crashed at to put up those things there. Here in texas its not uncommon to see these in the middle of nowhere. Kids like to drive their cars real fast out of the country so many of them die there.
>>
>>17723853
Nothing left over from World War II? I feel like that'd be your best bet as far as stuff to explore. Bunkers, bases, outposts, gun ports things like that. I have no idea about specifics cause I've never been there, but I feel like I've seen a couple Norwegian posts on threads before.
>>
>>17724398
Since you mentioned Session 9 and you've clearly been to your fair share of asylums did you ever go to Danvers before it got torn down? It was in Mass so not exactly close to you, but that's where the filmed session 9. Really wish I could have seen it before it got torn down. Place has some spooky history after demolition started too.

I've got a similar problem where I am too. tons of old factories in my city cause it's on the rail lines, but after a huge fire in one back in the early 2000s the city made a big effort to seal up all of them. Still can kind of access a few, but most are now knocked down or completed sealed up with riveted steel plates over the entrances.

Mt. Tom Ski area and water park- Holyoke, MA. Went here last summer and fucking loved it. The place is pretty huge (covers the lower slope of the mountain) with a couple dozen buildings and attractions left. Most of it is pools, the ski lodges, and plumbing works, but it's all pretty impressive. Easy to access cause it's pretty secluded and no one really cares if you're there. Ran into a few people hiking and walking their dogs in the area while I was there.

Here is a clip from a month ago when we went to this abandoned building. As you can hear in the clip (38 seconds in), something was thrown on the floor, pushed over, or something. We were on the fifth (sixth?) floor and the top was just open and nothing was there. So the sound happened below us which we already explored. It was pretty fun overall.

Roofer and general urban explorer type from Russia here, seen some shit on the roofs and abandoned buildings. Some are mundane like decaying junky lairs and illegal migrants squats, some are unsettling like flayed animal carcasses and bird bone trinkets or internet suicide cults messages. One time I even saw a black ops in action, the most fucked up encounter ever. Can post stories.
>>
>>17727273

Well the spoopiest recent shit that is going down recently is MORE KITOV or sea of whales stuff. These were the suicides directly related to a lot of loosely knit groups in VK, russian social network with 140+ million active users. According to journalists from a few russian papers including Novaya Gazeta and Lenta.ru more than 130 children and young adult suicides were directly connected to these groups, which not only post depressing and suicidal content as well as graphic mutilations, but in turn lead kids and teens to closed groups and skype conferences where real deal is posted - cryptic and unsettling messages, pre-ordained suicides filmed in gory detail and countdowns to fresh ''sacrifices''. Those unfortunates were indocrinated through late night skype sessions as well as disturbing content. Now government has taken down a lot of opened groups, but their admins and leaders are not residing in Russia, so the crackdown is mostly for show. A few of admins claimed the hype was made up by journalists and went in denial, but some of shit I've seen in those groups has been disturbing even by our standards.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=15&v=ELdR2u-rypk
I suppose you can get some details from Russian news sources by using google translate, read this.
http://www.novayagazeta.ru/society/73089.html
Now on high buildings, especially new ones on the outskirts of the city you sometimes see messages carved or written by ''whales'' which are usually dumb, shit like WHALES SWIM UPWARDS or WE DO STUFF WE NEVER IMAGINED WE WOULD DO AS KIDS, but sometimes you see something like codes they use leading to long dead social media groups F57, or some unsettling tribute to long passed member of cult. Can post shit about some black ops spooks I've seen tommorow, gotta go now.

a while back I made a thread about the Odessa catacombs and my talks with a fellow who is an explorer of it. he has since gone completely silent after the ukrainian fighting however do no new updates in ~3 year saddly
Another anon thought it would be a good idea to map out some of the catacombs in a game as well as include the water traps, dead girls body, and other features the real one has. It would impliment a few basic systems
Water: You can carry up to 4 litres of water and can drink it at any time, but you have a thirst meter
Food: Some kind of food, maybe beef jerky, protien bars, ect. Some food replenishes the hunger bar better that others. Possible camping stove and cooking in this even
Lighting: Start out with a head lamp, flashlight, batteries, and a flashlight. Maybe half 1 second be equal to one minute, program the batteries to last simular time to real batteries? Either way you can be conservative and only use the headlamp, or you can use the headlamp and flashlight, but when you're out of batteries, you're stuck with nothing but matches and a lighter. eventually those run out and the game is just you wondering around in complete darkness till all resources are gone and you die eventually
Walking speed: Running, uses up thirst and food faster but its running, and walking.
Other supplies: Camping stove, different kinds of clothing, vodka, whatever the creator can think up without taking away from the game play.
No guns. everyting based on real life. no monsters. the basis of the game is to explore the catacombs then try to find your way out. Based off real images so that it will also work as a way for people to see the way it looks inside.

I have a dream.
Pic related: missing girl was found by him. I believe his foot is in this image.

You can tame the wild hobo with booze and cigarettes. And being open in your entrance.
>Knock knock
Anybody here?
>>
>>17727955
Well it was written that during investigation one of the corpses, a young girl of 12 or 13 was found dead on the ground several meters from the edge of building. Her parents told that no way a small girl could make such a big leap with her backpack still on, so authorities investigate this one as a murder. Also, some of suicides including one with a gory ending via train dismemberment I saw were filmed very neatly, which suggests both time and method of killing is pre-ordained in Skype sessions. Also, one of parents mothers tried to impersonate a kid and sign up for the suicide crap and even made it to conference where she saw a lot of sick shit before she was discovered via video call. Checking the social media is worthless as police is in full damage control due to public outrage, but I can check the impending investigations on 2ch and post what they say.

>Holy shit, I just went down the rabbit hole with that teen suicide cult thing on VK. Can you tell me any more about it?

not the guy who posted it, but another russian-speaking poster.

This shit recently blew up all over russian internet (google "мope китoв" if you're interested). Some people are sceptical and think that the reporter who did initial writeup got trolled hard, and some believe it's true.

A read a bunch of stuff regarding this and apparently at least some of this shit is true - basically some bored 20-something year olds created these communities (called "publics" in vk) in russian social network that kinda sorta promoted suicide via these some sort of fucked up ARGs that would lure these 12-13 yo dumb ass kids and slowly push them towards suicide. they would make a phone list database and call 'em saying some vague shit or leave cryptic messages and they would get more and more depressing/menacing etc. Apparently they succeded in pushing at least a couple of those silly 12 old girls to suicide.

Though it was not some sort of dark cult or secret society, more of a bunch 4chan-esque anonymous assholes with a dark twist. Still, some pretty fucked up shit.

I've always walked around wearing jeans that are comfy but dont sag nor are too tight. if you can't run in them, you shouldnt wear them
Boots or thick tennis shoes
Buddy optional but prefered
fix blade knife or a good folding knife and a mini crowbar, as well as the cigs. Hobos are generally cool and gladly accept cigs. Booze may get them to act out depending on the hobo
One thing to remember is that they consider that place their home and if you're nice, they are generally okay people, but realize to them you're intruding their home, no different than walking in on a person in their house.

>Hello. I`d like to tell you about Odessa katakombs.
Odessa is not far from the capital of Ukraine - Kiev. Under Odessa consists the biggest katakombs in the world. Their total length is more than 2500 km, so this katakombs are much more bigger than Paris katakombs.
In fact Odessa katakombs are much more "younger" than katakombs in Paris.
Stone that was mined there was used for the construction of the city from 1794 till 1980s.
Nowadays these mines are absolutelly abandoned!
During the World War II a lot of citizens were hiding in catacombs. A lot of them used to live there for a year and more. So even today it is possible to find weapons, equipment and even dead bodies.
Every year a lot of explorers lost and even die there.
Unfortunatelly our government try to close all the entrances to catacombs, but you know, it`s impossible.

Sorry to hear about your friend.

I've been told a dozen times I'm not careful enough but so far I've only really done smaller buildings, mostly abandoned homes.

I upload all of it to youtube.

https://youtu.be/dDK2az6qzfc

This place was pretty interesting. Its terribly the amount of waste in totally abandoned homes and buildings. Plus here where I live in the USA there was a massive flood. Missouri, 1993. It left some large buildings mostly abandoned in a majory nearby town named Kansas City but I have yet to get into any of them.

I hope your friend shows back up someday.

As for tips - everyone keeps telling me to wear a face mask for breathing in particulate.

Oh, and I would say a good tip is to get an action camera you can turn on and forget about so that you dont have to worry about missing anything. You'll never stop kicking yourself in something strange happens and you cant get it on video in time with a handheld.

Then you spend forever wondering if you really saw what you think you saw, ya know?

P100 face mask is your best friend. I bought a cheap painters half face respirator and bought the p-100 pink filters for cheap. the two big killers are asbestos and mold. If the building you're in is older than 5 years and abandoned at least 2 years. I can guarantee you'll run into that shit
The ukraine guy, I didn't know him personally, but since he disappeared, it kinds freaks me out. Hopefully he dug in at the catacombs and is defending it and his family. i want to believe.
>I've been told a dozen times I'm not careful enough but so far I've only really done smaller buildings, mostly abandoned homes.
Everyone has differing opinions and ideas. Flashlights, blue jeans, clear safety glasses, an a mask is all you really need. I prefer to have those things as well as a pack of cigarettes, a good fix blade knife, and some decent gloves to pick up broken glass with. Camera optional. I use a cheap point and shoot with variable settings.

As I said earlier, a lot of people lost and even dead under Odessa
It`s a dead body of the 19-years old girl, who has lost the right way in the maze. Her body was found only after 2 years.
it's a very sad story. She went with her friends into katakombs to celebrate a 2005s new year. It was a very big bad-experiment group, so probably when in the morning drunk group left katakombs, they forgot girl inside. It was a very long and painful death! She couldn't find an entrance.
She was taken out only in the end of 2007 and buried.

During the time she was inside her "friends" didn't try to take her body out. Probably they were frightened. A few explorers were comming inside to make photos of her. I made this photo in April 2005. After that I called police, but they did not want to go inside. Her body was far from the exit.
In the end my friend, a famous journalist, wrote an article with a lot of photos of this poor girl and showed it to the government. After this during 24 hours her body has been taken out.
Well... In my country exploring catacombs is absolutely legal, so we haven't got special "underground police" like, for example, in Paris. That is why during 2 years noone could remove her from there. Cops and rescuers are afraid to go into catacombs without diggers and diggers don,t want to cooperate with police Her body was 5 km away from the entrance, so only a few explorers knew where did she die. That is why she was lying there being a photo sight.
We know nothing about this poor girl. Only her name and age. We knew nothing about her parents. Most probably that she didn,t tell her parents where is she going to be, so they could not even suppose, that she could be in catacombs. A lot of citizens in Odessa even do not know anything about the biggest underground system in the world that consists just under their houses.
(I'm sharing this because I don't want his side of things to disappear with the catacombs. He offered to take people in Never replied)

No! It`s inpossible to make a map of odessa catacombs because of the incredible large area. Explorers make a map since the 1954, and there are more than 2500 km on it!
Here are some photos from the flooded part of the catacombs. The total length of the mines with water is more than 12 miles.

It is the mushroom plantation in the catacombs. It was illegal, so it`s abandoned now with now mushrooms... Unfortunately. But I remember days when we were going there to steal some mushrooms)))

And of course, some pics from still working mines!
By the way, I will be always glad to meet all of you in Odessa and to show our catacombs if someone ever come here! Welcome!
It is impossible to show you everything, because it will take years to explore)
But you`ll see some of the most interesting places)
There is no law prohibiting explore catacombs in Odessa. (I`m not sure that it will be the same after elections in January) So you may not be worry about police and come to catacombs.

in paris you have two area
a small one is an official history museum with lot of bones well store about 2 km long (it is closed now for few month).
a huge part (about 130 km) is not allowed to visit. In case you are caught You may have an financial penalty about 60 euros ( if you are a foreigner its will be probably 0).
a good idea to visit this part take a guide ! (free one of course)
I think you`ll be interested in maps of Odessa catacombs. It will form your performance about the really large maze.
I posted some different pieces of maps from the different areas of catacombs.
Well, I wrote some short articles, but they all are on russian. I haven`t got enough time for translation. I`m going to make a special page for foreigners on my website. There will be all necessary information about catacombs and abandoned buildings.

Yes, it is the most dangerous mine in the Odessa catacombs. It wasn`t explored since the year of it`s closing (1976).
- you are right. Last photos are from machine mine that was closed in 1976. It wasn`t attend since that year. In the mine were even left all stuff: rail, trucks, fire extinguishers, gas lamps and other equipment. Machine mines constitute a small % of our catacombs and they are even in the worst condition than handmade 100-years old mines.

Postedby -Is the situation simillar in Odessa? Are the tunnels shown on the maps inspection galleries, or are they the original mine tunnels?

No. We haven`t got any inspection or underground police, because it`s absolutely legal employment. The tunnels on the maps are the original mine tunnels near the city and on the map #5 is catacombs under city.

(there are a few places he said was dangerous. Basically anywhere with cracked supports is about to fall)

I'm curious about the history of these, maybe it's been covered beofore and I missed it. I'm also curious about the origin of the layout on your maps. In Paris the present-day catacombs are a tiny fraction of what was originally there, originally they were large room-and pillar mines with lots of open space. After collapses started happening, the large areas were mostly walled off and backfilled with inspection tunnels (galleries) running around the perimeter to allow inspection of the backfill and supporting walls. Thus the present Paris catacomb network is mostly just inspection tunnels built within mostly backfilled space.

Is the situation simillar in Odessa? Are the tunnels shown on the maps inspection galleries, or are they the original mine tunnels? It looks like you have various ages of mine/tunnel as well, the machine-cut blocks in your last set of photos definitely appear to be newer.

Hey - Eugene can correct me if I'm wrong about any of the following, which I might be.

Odessa catas are both way rawer and way newer than Paris or Naples. They're essentially one small step removed from decomissioned mines. From what I remember, the oldest are in the 100-200 year-old range, while the newest are still being dug, or at most 20-30 years old.

The newer tunnels seemed much larger, straighter, and more solid and probably have engineers and inspections and such, while the older tunnels kind of resemble the Val de Grace area of the Paris catacombs - maybe not "unstable," but not professionally gone through and stabilized in a coordinated way, and a complete spaghetti bowl.

The sheer amount of tunnels the amazing thing about Odessa, as well as the some of WWII history - there's bunkers and a few old partisan bases. I think if you wanted to you could walk something like 20 kilometers from the outskirts of the city to the central part of town. Most of the huge networks are located in the small towns on the outskirts of the city. There's at least one really old network under the city itself that's amazing, becuase it connects through all the old WWI bunkers under the city (well, at least two old bunkers that we went to).

I'm fairly sure the maps are all the result of explorers. From what I could gather they enjoy a relationship with the official authorities somewhere between that of the Cataphiles and the Sottosuolo guys.
Anyway, hope you guys are doing well - maybe we'll find outselves in a tunnel together again someday.
I have something for fans of speleology - natural cave just under the main street of Odessa in catacombs.

No, never. But a lot of times involved in rescue operations of lost explorers. In difficult areas of catacombs the chance of successful rescue is very low. It’s because of big maze and a lot of meltdowns.

(read this if you're interest in mine or cave exploration. )

It depends on the aims of being underground. When we go to the expedition for a week or more we take a lot of equipment. Of course, you must have 2-3 flashlights + spare batteries for them, candles and matches. For sleeping we take sleeping bags and sleeping mats. For mapping always take pencils, rulers, protractors, compass, graph paper and much more. If we explore flooding mines we take wetsuits and rarely aqualungs. Then we take food, water and a lot of other stuff. For example, my catacombs` bag before 3-days exploring weighs 40-45 kg.
It also depends on the aims of being underground. As usual it can be 3-6 people, but I usually go underground alone for a few hours or a day just for relaxing )
Yes, absolutely. But there are also some natural caves in catacombs. They are small, but very beautiful!
Well, there are some little systems of catacombs under Odessa where you can meet homeless people, but explorers don`t go to this systems, because nothing interesting is there. We explore big systems with complex maze and it scares homeless.
Another reason is that they haven`t got lights)
I`m not sure that my children will be able to visit catacombs one day. I think catacombs will be absolutely collapsed. One of the reasons is that the level of water is extremely high and it continues to grow. There are a lot of areas of catacombs that were absolutely dry 2 years ago, nowadays may be flooded to the ceiling.
We raised the alarm and trying to explore flooded areas before they finally sink under the water.

Hope we are not be late.
If someone wants to explore odessa catacombs, don`t hesitate, because one day we will lost them. Unfortunately...
This is very good example of flooding. On this photo is an underground base (camp) where explorers 3 years ago sleep and eat in dry and comfortable conditions.
Yes, I know. I`m not sure you understand it on my bad English, but I`ll try to explain.
This area of catacombs is under the fields. In the 1970s years our politicians have had a very unsuccessful geological reform. They spent the reclamation of fields, in a word they drained these fields and all the water went under ground, to the catacombs. Under a layer of limestone are gray-green clay, which do not allow water to pass on and it remains in the catacombs. This is the first cause momentary increase of water level.
After this during years the level has increased.
There are also a lot of geological problems of this area.

How often do you continue to explore into areas you've never been to yet? Or do you mostly now just re-explore places you've already been?

I usually spend 2-3 days a week underground and try to explore something new because there are a lot of unknown areas.

Posted by- You had mentioned that you have taken aqualungs down before (or at least I think you did). How many times have you used scuba down there?

In Odessa explorers tried to use scuba for many times, but unsuccessfully. The visibility under water falls in few seconds and you can not orientate.
I`ve used scuba in catacombs only for 2 times.

First of all, we have a new horrifying discovery. On this photo you can see remains of bones, that we found in the catacombs. They are here from the II WW and I`m sure that these bones are remnants of a German soldier, who was brutally killed by Soviet soldiers. I`m sure because we also found his helmet that was near the body. By the way, his skull was not found. Poor man was beheaded while still alive.

Another amazing find is several kilograms of drugs, banned chemicals, poisons and other things that are prohibited by Ukrainian law. All of this was safely hidden by local bandits in one of the dead-end maze of the catacombs.
Hope they don`t read this threat now))))
Here, in this fucking country politicians and bandits almost completely destroyed our poor country. Ordinary people have to starve, and in conditions of unemployment, economic crisis and so on could soon begin the revolution. Many explorers of catacombs are already preparing for it.
(a poster named Therrin then asked for the drugs)
Therrin, I`m not sure that it`s a good idea to send you drugs))) How? By plane?))
Most of bottles were send for inspection to police and some explorers had A LOT OF problems with police... It`s Ukraine, here is no law.

Hi to all!
A lot has changed in Ukraine since the time I wrote here. We continue to explore our undergrounds despite the fact that there are fewer unexplored areas of the catacombs. This winter was an accident - a young boy lost and his body has not been found till yet. So now we have a little trouble with the government, who are trying to close all the entrances and forbid us to explore catacombs. 5 explorers lost or died during this year, that`s why I really beg you not to try to walk underground in Odessa itself. It can be really dangerous.
Here are some new pictures of our catacombs. Enjoy

Anybody ever encounter any weird people while exploring? I've got a creepy story and shitty drawing to go with it.

>me and my friend exploring woods in our town
>probably 13 years old or so
>Northern NJ so woods are full of interesting abandoned shit
>following train tracks down a small forested mountain finds us at the base of two drainage tunnels
>one with a foot of water in it, one dry
>can't see the end of the dry tunnel but want to see how far it goes
>make a torch by wrapping dry river grass around a stick and light it
>duck down and begin making our way down the tunnel, him in front with the torch, me behind
>eventually we are overcome by smoke from the torch so he smashes it and we run on
>see light and make it to a large, round, vertical concrete room ~50-60ft tall from memory
>light from an opening at the top and a rebar ladder leading up to it
>decide to make our exit up it
>notice another small tunnel partly up the ladder
>as we approach it, my friend stops and looks in it
>after a pause he yells "FUCK, GO" and climbs faster than I've ever seen anyone climb
>as I pass the tunnel I take a quick peek and see from a dim light source, a hobo crawling towards me over a pile of bedding/trash
>adrenaline takes over and I climb for my life
>as I reach the top, my friend is already out of the opening
> begin to crawl out the top when my feet slip off of one of rungs of the ladder and I grab the edge of the concrete and my legs are dangling down the hole
>friend grabs my arms and helps me out and we take off running

The bum never followed us so I don't know if he even tried to make his way up the ladder but just the thought of him climbing after me creeps me out. Local legends of the kids in town at the time say he was violent but of course there was no solid proof.

I go hiking with my girlfriend on this mountain nowadays and show her all the creepy shit we used to explore as kids.

Enjoy my shitty diagram of the tunnels.

What is Hallow Earth?
>>
>>17736540
wilderness here is just red sand.
>>
>>17736005

Is that the nazi camp door?
>>
>>17736586

No thats a door to a Revolutionary era ammunition cache. The Nazi camp is farther up the mountain.
>>
>>17736600

I know where that is.
>>
>>17736622

did the book give it away?
>>
>>17736466
I envy your outback. Nowhere else is there such an expanse of pure nothingness. It's beautiful. Appreciate it.
>>
>>17736626

No, the zine.
>>
>>17736647
true, i should
>>
>>17736648

Well if you know where it is then you must be from the area. Only those that live at the base of the mountain know how to find it.
>>
>>17736535
Thats how the ukrainian dude finds his way out, chalk and thread. the problem is its so big and parts are in so bad shape it would take years to do it all.
>>
>>17734699
I wear a m-40 gas mask when I'm in sketchy old buildings . Nobody wants to stick around when they see a dude in a gas mask.
>>
>>17736743
Except people like me that shoot first and ask questions never...sry i know this probably makes you a little annoyed but people like me are out there not giving a fuck
>>
>>17736667

Yeah.

I climbed the mountain to Hancock's Mausoleum soo..
>>
>>17736754
Sure, but I doubt you actually have the balls to shoot anyone (let alone an actual gun)
>>
>>17736743
Saddly thanks to instagram urbexers, the gas mask is considered the tool of scrubs. But it can be a valuable tool as long as its an actual good one and not for looks.
>>17736754
you're why its getting harder and harder to explore
>>
>>17724311
Also wear a a hepa mask you never know when your standing near mold and asbestos
>>
>>17725402
You in la ? Know any good spots in San Diego ?
>>
only one place thats bandoned/sorta creepy where i am its a large house with all windows and doors boarded over and cycloned barbwire fencing no way in no way out
>>
>>17736754
>already have broken into a place
>will shoot someone just like you who was just exploring because they spooked you
Gun nuts like you need to be killed
>>
>>17736754
so, you're that scared of everything that you would shoot in a gas mask for no reason?
i pray for you my brother that one day you're going to have functioning balls that produce testosterone too, one day my man

* a guy in a gas mask
>>
was homeless for a bit....

at one point was squatting in an abandoned trailer full of 8 year old gay porn mags...

it is not cool when another squatter bumbles up to your spot in the middle of the night either
>>
>>17737346
As in, that was how old the porn magazines were or...
>>
>>17736754
>Breaks into peoples houses
>Shoots them for being in their home.
>>
>>17737459
Yeah, we're out here, understand that. Realize that there are people everywhere that will murder you for sport or pleasure. People all around you, just waiting for you to be so arrogant as to think no one can get you because you hide behind a computer screen.
>>
>>17737459
>>17737816
Also, he said in old abandoned places not in his own home, but I've been tried for home invasion as well so I figured I'd just go with your version
>>
>>17736878
Yeah I know, it's what makes people like me more dangerous. People like you are arrogant and fucking stupid to think we won't nor do we have the means
>>
>>17737167
The reason I do stuff like that is strictly because of people like
>>17736878
>>17737323
>>17737331

If they weren't so retardedly pretentious and arrogant then I wouldn't even bother looking for easy self-defense plea murders

>inb4 "lol it's not self defense blah blah I'm a lawyer"
>>
>>17737323
The reason we aren't killed is because we're like this hahahah
>>
>>17737331
Yeah man, that's it, I'm so totally scared of everything, there's never any other reason for killing someone unprovoked is there? Not ever nope that's why I get away with it I guess because I'm so scared it's a plausible defense in the court of law that I was scared enough to defend my life with deadly force idk
>>
>>17737824
>>17737833
>People are arrogant for thinking they may not get murdered on any given day
You are a psychopath
>>
>>17737909
I don't think about whether or not I am. I don't care either way. If I am, ok there are still wayyyy more psychopaths than people realize. Not all of them are violent and actually go out of their way to harm others but alot do way worse. I'd do way worse if I was smarter and could get away with it. For now, it's just this
>>
>>17737816
Go back to your airsoft forum, kiddo.
>>
>>17737824
Says the arrogant internet-psycho.

The kids at school wouldn't bully you if you stopped listening to insane clown posse and being a general cunt to everyone you meet.
>>
>>17737290
Poke around for weak boards and fence holes. I avoid making my own entrances if possible and has even used places where animals have dug under fences to get in. Other options are putting a towel over the fence and climbing over, and using a crowbar on the weakest boards.
>>17737346
Yeah, thats why I try to announce my presence in some way and bring offerings so I don't spook the homeless.
>>17737833
I mean, I bring ways of self defense as well. If I can't outrun them I'll stand my ground. I use the belief that fi there is a bum there, its their house and I'm intruding. I avoid bringing my gun purely because of not wanting police to take it from me, or get treated like shit by police after they grab me on trespassing. I don't think bringing a gun is wrong, especially being from /k/ but I do believe that the gun is more hassle than its worth while urban exploring
>>
>>17737990
No, you keep coming to abandoned buildings as if we're not out here waiting. The ones like you are the ones we want
>>
>>17738058
lol sure sure, that's what "internet-psychos" really are like. You know best. You know exactly how successful murderers operate. Good job, little buddy.
>>
>>17736463
i used to camp and smelt near here. prize if you can find my lead brick

I don't see anything that looks abandoned. Can you give me specifics?

His asshole has been abandoned but needs you to come and repopulate it

Carrying is never a good idea when exploring, just bring smokes and some sandwiches. If you ever meet anyone, they turn into friends.
>>
>>17735557

WOW, now this is something I must put on my bucket list. This is amazing.

>>17740745
If you can, do it soon, like he said, the catacombs are falling apart, and if possible try to get in contact with Eugene. He may be willing to help.

sure. in the woods next too/ just south of the promotory point apartments is where i used to camp. my tent may still be there. a 50lb lead disk i smelted is almost certainly still out there in those woods.

slight warning- was a tweaker and had a tent mate. theres a wee possibility the old tent mate still lives there xD

Is this it? What's abandoned there? I don't see any big structures in the wooded area. If it's just a campsite you used to do drugs at I'm not really interested. Sorry.

Since it's related to the thread I will post the two videos I made
of an abandoned house I found in North Dakota. It was close to
where I was working in the middle of the country which is how I
ended up finding it.

>part 1 of 2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XD90a7JM--g

>part 2 of 2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=--jjGQuWMrw

In the first video I went alone in the evening to document it.
In the second video I went alone in the late night. I was living
in my car at the time so I was parked near the house and was
sleeping there overnight until I had to go to work the next day.

I'll lurk the thread for a while if anyone has any questions.

I've got some stories from the catacombs in Paris. They aint paranormal though. So they might not qualify though? Pic related.
>>
>>17741039
This thread isn't about paranormal. It's about urban exploration and those stories count. Post em.
>>
>>17741039
I'd be interested in reading them.

The night world and the day world are completely different. Just understand that some energies will be different at night (coming from a person who doesn't necessarily believe or not believe, but has felt some crazy paranormal stuff just recently)

Odessa isn't mine, Its from a fellow named Eugene from a urban explorer forum. I'm a slavaboo faggot from /k/ who likes slavshit guns. But Odessa has always held a special place in my heart and I found out the catacombs my only have another 20 years (maybe more) before they turn into half what they are now. Probably even less. They do have a lot of regional significance. I just wanted his story of the catacombs to continue even if they go away.
Either way you can read the story in this thread, or go to the imgur link >>17735843
for more. PLus a lot more pics
