One of two tracks called "white blur" (I think on that album but i'm too lazy to bother checking) is really creepy. I have memories of listening to ambient music with a friend while camping in yorkshire moors and that track was played randomly and it got really weird (we were stoned as hell).

good samples. sample in some real industrial sounds. good use of resonance and dampening. high passes. heavy deep bass. compress/widen and chorus out synth sounds into evocative, dissonant, meaningful, almost narrative audioscapes. there's something narrative and almost filmic, storylike, about the best dark ambient.

I was really hot on that Paper Chase album for a while... but I saw them live and HOLY SHIT they were terrible.
