Yo /x/ what do you think of this guy?
I just started Hermetic Tradition as a start for reading this guy. Seems interesting.

I know exactly what he is talking about, and he is right.

He is talking about the infiltration and addition of certain ideas and knowledge throughout history in all subjects that is completely fake.

He is talking about Mathematics that serve no purpose in the real world, and cannot be repeated.

What you really have to ask yourself is what the wealthiest people in the world believe that is different from what is taught in the public domain. From there you can start to question.
>>
>>17654603
Damn, didn't think of that
>>
>>17654603
I believe that they are taught similar things to us, but twist and change it to their own perspective and are "gods" in their own mind
>>
Our perception of reality is turned down. Made us think we are just an annecdotic casuality. They made us dream awake what they want. We are apparted of the real life, for proffit. And what get us as this, is just fear.
>>
>>17654545
The only modern author to actually know wtf he's talking about (regarding alchemy).
>>
>>17655098
Jung is much better.
>>
>>17655218
I disagree my friend. Jung reduces metaphysical and supersensible matters to merely mental and psychological, if I understand him correctly.

Both wouldn't know alchemy if it smacked them on their faces.

>being obsessed with turning material lead into gold

Alchemy is metaphorical.
>>
>>17656714

Can be.

I agree with him that we are in Hesiod's Iron Age and the Hindu Kali Yuga.

>suicide rates highest in developed, "advanced" countries, so much so that it is a common cause of death
>humanity discovers petroleum power
>humanity discovers antibiotics
>those two scientific advancements let us increase our population wantonly
>now environmental catastrophe from global warming is a threat to our existence, so are superbugs resistant to antibiotics
>humanity discovers nuclear energy
>hardly ever uses it for electricity, instead stick to coal and petrol while building enough nuclear weapons to destroy the Earth many times over
>atheism, Sartre-esque existentialism, secularism, humanism and utilitarianism now the default socio-political values of the developed world
>everyone needs a means to cope with reality be it drugs, alcohol, pharmaceuticals, sex, pornography, video games, anime, whatever and people feel "liberated" for doing this
>popular music of Western culture has gone from classical to jazz, to trance-inducing rhythm based chaos
>the family unit is completely obliterated with governments and society incentivizing divorce, and bachelorhood/spinsterhood as well as encouraging homosexuality and transgenderism (not that I think being gay is inherently bad, it's just that most "gays" today are just wayward heterosexuals)
>gender roles reversing, and we are heading to matriarchy
>all strata of society in revolt, no one is happy being a regular working man, everyone is in the rat race, working hard now so they can relax later, the never-ending pursuit of happiness

There are so many utopian people bedazzled by spaceflight and computers think this is "progress" and will bring humanity into some kind of golden age, despite that every trend from physical to metaphysical leads to dissolution. Indeed we are making progress, the word every modern person uses to justify this state, but the word progress does not necessarily imply anything good. We are progressing to our doom.
>>
>>17656833
None of these things imply doom.
Half of them are generalizations.
Some of them are completely inaccurate.

external alchemy was btfo by the scientific method.

Learn chemistry and nuclear physics if you want to work with materials.
>>
>>17657040
We've actually been successful in turning lead into gold with ramming particles together.
>>
>>17656875

Not really. Sexual alchemies are both internal and external, for example. Don't pretend to expertise.
>>
>>17657445
>sexual
>alchemies

Hey I'm not the guy you were talking to but dont pretend to expertise either.
>>
>>17657450

Thanks. Not pretending.

You know, I still think you might be, but thanks for the reassurance.

As an expert, you must know that putting the word sexual in front of Alchemy and pretending it is an actual think only debases the great art.
>>
>>17657475

That's due to your ignorance. Not my problem.
>>
>>17657545
Why is he ignorant? Because he saw thought your hamfisted attempt to feign knowledge? You sound like the kind of person who's read two books and then goes around giving his half digested diatribes. Read more and shut up until you do. On any subject.
>>
>>17657572

Because he doesn't know his subject. At all.
>>
>>17657630

You aren't equiped
>>
>>17654603
It's not that sinister. There are and have always been systems in place to guide people's minds into a state of submission. Not by force. We all choose.

We are all given a house of lies to live in. Some never leave the house. Some burn the house and lose their shelter. Some find the key.

they're descriptive enough, it's the general point that is important

Ride the Tiger

If you enjoy it, then Path of Cinnabar. It's his autobiography and he goes over what he thought of his other books. If any of them strike you as interesting, read those.
>>
>>17654545
He was a humorless knob that edgy white power types obsess over. You can find a better philosopher to study.
>>
>>17663307
Ride the Tiger is the 3rd book in his core trilogy.
The first one should be Revolt Against the Modern World, then Men Among the Ruins, and then Ride the Tiger.
>>
>>17654603
>What you really have to ask yourself is what the wealthiest people in the world believe that is different from what is taught in the public domain.

I don't think Bill Gates gives a good goddam fuck about much. I don't think he believes in anything that's different from what he learned in school.

What do you think champ?
>>
>>17654545
Tried to read Hermetic Tradition but couldn't understand two sentences.

I realize I need some pre-knowledge. Recommend me starter literature before getting into Evola.

I reckon classical mythology and basic "occultism", but what about religion/history?

There is no such thing as mathematics that serve no purpose in the real world.
