>>
Anyone have anything on Heaven's Gate besides their homemade videos?
>>
>>17636226
I emailed them a few years ago and got a response. It's p interesting that they still have someone left behind to manage their PR.
>>
>>17636261
I actually did the same years ago, and he offered to send me some free literature on the "religion". I didn't feel comfortable giving out my address though.
>>
>>17636261
I'm going to email them and ask them for some good kool-aid/punch recipes. I'm a funny guy

And to top it off, how about an active cult?

https://www.youtube.com/user/SSRFINC

Tons of weird vids there. And I can elaborate on practices, history etc. as needed as I have experience with them.
>>
>>17636307
This is great anon.
>>
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yzga2o_3xxE

There's an example from the SSRF. Its about ghosts attacking you via bloodstains.
>>
>tfw you've seen all the cult documentaries
Someone start another one so I can have something to watch.
>>
>>17636304
Hehe I shall.

>>17636326
Let's start one. Cults are usually amazing for the founders.
>>
>>17636307
Dude i want to fuck your brains out
>>
>>17636307
Mind elaborating on the active cult? That's so fucking cool anon.
>>
>>17636455
So, to start it off - and my posts may be a bit slow as I may have to gather evidence and am currently multi-tasking, but

Their leader, Dr. Jayant Balaji Athavale is a clinical hypnotherapist and former founder of another group known as the Sanatan Sanstha, which was functionally the predecessor to the SSRF, however:

Sanatan Sanstha
>6 followers were arrested for planting bombs in auditoriums and a theatre - to which Sanatan Sanstha held meetings to dispel the misunderstanding about the organization
>6 more members were arrested for a bombing in Goa - 3 more absconding
>one member arrested for the murder of a communist politician
>indian intelligence agencies consider the Sanatan Sanstha involved in the murder of a renowned indian author and rationalist

So when the group started getting some negative press he went and started the SSRF
>>
So the main thing to understand about the SSRF before you really get anywhere with them is that there are spiritual levels and energy types. First and formost - spiritual level:

63% of the world's population is at a 30-30% spiritual level
>this means they have a negligible interest in spirituality to a ritualistic worship or interested in sacred texts

33% of the world's population has a spiritual level of 30-50% - these people are called Seekers
>or they are more spiritual and often singular path focused - think pastors/priests/imams

4% of the world's population is above tha in the 55-60% spiritual level - these people are called Disciples
>these are people who endeavour to allow spirituality to permeate their everyday life - and are willing to sacrifice mind body and wealth for spiritual growth

Anything above 70% is known as a Guru
>80% they are liberated from the birth and death cycle
>100% they merge with god
>>
>>17636795
Wow, this is pure bullshit.
>>
Another thing to understand about Gurus is that they are empirically better than priests/rabbis/imams etc. because they are superficial whereas the guru's words are laden with innate divine consciousness
>>
The second main thing - and the qualifier for all SSRF talk is energy types.

Energy comes in 3 forms:

Sattva
>purity and knowledge

Raja
>action and passion

Tama
>ignorance and inertia

Every person is made up of some combination - the average person being 20/30/50 in sattva/raja/tama whereas a guru might be 50/30/20

This is where things start to get nutty so I need to start a new post.
>>
I saw a documentary on the Waco shit a few years ago and it gave me an anxiety attack, it was so far out.
>>
>>17636817
This is actually straight from the Bhagavad Gita which is 5,000 years old. I'm sure its sprinkled with new age bullshit however
>>
Sattva and lifestyle
>eat = Wheat, cucumber, spinach, sugar, milk, butter, clarified butter (ghee), cinnamon, almonds, walnut, cashew nuts
>colors = White, yellow, blue
>wear = Natural fibre such as cotton, silk, cowhide
>music listened = Hymns written by Saints, music composed by Saints
>movies watched = Enlightening society to make the world a better place spiritually or at a worldly level
>books read = books that increase spiritual understanding
>company/friends = Seekers of God practicing spirituality according to the six basic principles of spiritual practice
>>
>>17636834

It is. Even back then, it was characterized by the way a person acted, not the "energy" they were composed of. The vitality of daily stamina, and the willpower required to act in those ways (the devotion of willpower to various personality types) is what the gurus were playing at, but they probably didn't think in the same way modern people do.

So, New Ageists take advantage of that to spread their bullshit, and make people ignorant (because it helps them believe in things they can't fully devote to).
>>
>>17636837
Raja and lifestyle
>eat = Highly salty, bitter, sour, pungent and hot foods (e.g. boiling hot tea or coffee), onion, garlic
>colors = Red, Crimson, Green, Violet
>wear = Hide of animal skins
>music listened = Country music, pop music, most film songs etc.
>movies watched = Action films, thrillers
>books read = books that increase emotions or worldly attachment
>company/friends = Social engagements where the topic of conversation is primarily worldly issues, business etc. Shopping as a pastime

So basically Raja is what normal people do.
>>
Tama and lifestyle - or how you're all degenerate scum

>eat = Dried vegetables, chilled or frozen foods, twice heated foods, foul smelling, stale, soiled food, half cooked (as in meat that is rare), uncooked food, food difficult to digest, non-vegetarian food, wines and alcohol
>colors = Black, any shade of colour that has a high percentage of black
>wear = Man made clothes such as lycra, nylon etc., Torn clothes, Unironed clothes
>music listened = Heavy metal, music that encourages violence and drugs
>movies watched = Pornography, Violence, Horror movies
>books read = Books that incite degradation of Spirituality, harming of society ie. Turner Diaries
>company/friends = Company of drug addicts, rave parties, parties that promote any type of addiction, meeting that facilitate the harming of society

Tama is basically the fuck you element in this school of thought. Drink Coca-cola? You've tainted your soul with Tama. Hang out with a guy who likes Sabaton? Tainted your soul.

At this point is where they start to divide. As you wish to progress in spiritual level and divide your energies more towards Sattva, you need to cut off Tama or Raja individuals. Leave the family home if they are Raja/Tama. Cut off all contact with friends or even lovers that are Raja/Tama. Start to surround yourself with the SSRF adherents. Drop out of your church or synagogue and find a guru. Drop out of university/college and find a guru.

Slowly it gets bigger, in my experience this was followed with donations of time (via promoting their talks on their facebook/volunteering or setting up their panels) to pilgrimages to India to stay at their sizeable compound and spend your entire day immersed in this spirituality. While in India, they often seem to work for the founder at his compound, choose new names or be gifted a new name, and shut that shell even tighter to their old life. The pilgrimages eventually lead to moving from what I can tell. Or at the very least they become very often.
