There's really not much to the philosophy. Find a system who's vibe you like and use it, or use multiple systems, or whatever, it don't matter.

The following books and articles would be good places to get started.

Liber Null & Psychonaut (first link) is the first official chaos magic publication. Well worth reading and practicing.

The Magickal Revival (second link) is a theoretical work concerned with the magickal influences of Aleister Crowey and Austin Osman Spare (two biggest occultist of the early 20th century) from a proto-chaotic meta-fictional standpoint.

Chaos Matrix is a website gathering articles related to chaos magic. My favorite is Go Underground and Become a Chaos Magician. Very inspiring.

The Principia Discordia is a psychedelic hippie exploration of philosophy and religion from the sixties.

Little Purple Notebook is a pseudo-scientological explanation of buddhism.

The Ghost Danse is another pseudo-scientological explanation of astral work.

Mastering The Core Teachings of The Buddha is an excellent primer on meditation and how to reach meditation states (very important in magic).

That depends on how you're trying to use it. If you want something that other people can see you doing, ritual is the way to go. If it's more personal and you don't care who sees, chaos magic will do better for you.

Any system. You can invent moon worship and use that for chaos magic if you want. You can take bits and pieces from Mayan culture if you want. The only part that matters is that you use belief to your advantage.
