You mean like [REDACTED] and [REDACTED] ?

I can't really choose a single favourite SCP, but I would say SCP-035, SCP-106, SCP-079 and SCP-201 are my favourite ones.
An idea for a new SCP (Keter), would be a vase with red flowers in it. The flowers could change form to resemble other flowers, but their usual form would be roses. Anyone within a 250 meter radius from the vase would start coughing and experience nausea, and then after 5 minutes they would fall into a coma, and eventually die of organ failure. That's all I have atm. :P

Working on a mix between Village of the Damned and Elfen Lied

>A bunch of children are born in a lost village the exact same day
>Record of the local doctor who had to attend all births
>When half thourgh the busiest day of his life he makes a mistake
>A delivery didn't go as planned and the child die
>In his log the Doctor mention he suffered a nearly unbearable pain as soon as he attested the death of the baby
>Writing suggest the doctor has become obsessive with this children from now on and his pain only fade when he is near on of the children attending to his/her every needs

>Reports show an increase in the frequency of injuries among the village's inhabitant, most of them seem to be the result of a 10-meter fall, but to building is as tall as this in the village
>People starts to manifest loss of memory, often associated with the meeting of one or several of the children and complaint of thievery increase at the local police station

>The children have been successfully captured through the use of incapaciting gas
>The site containing them must keep increasing the density of the gas melange since they acquire a tolerance to it

Then I don't know how but I'd like to be the most detailed possible when describing the test assessing their power. (0-5m direct telephatic control, 5-20m memory manipulation and strong suggestion, 20-50m emotion manipulation), (can project up to 500J from telekinethic ability, can stop up to 1000J, can deviate up to 5000J). Like the hardship and mistakes made in order to acquire the data. To reflect to inhumanity of the scientist with the pragmatic and deadpan style of a scientific log.

Special Containment Procedures: All manifestations of SPC-XX should be kept alive as long as possible. At this time, all the 10 known manifestations of SPC-XX are detained by the SPC Foundation. To prevent accidental death of more than one manifestation, they are restricted separatly at undisclosed locations. A safe distance of at least 100m must separate a SPC-XX manifestation from any sentient being during non-test period as reported by Comissar Nikita S. Khrushchev in 1942 (see document). More importantly, following Operation Crossroad of the US Army/Navy Task Force One, and under the recommendation of Vice Admiral William H. P. Blandy (see document), any attempt at restraining a SPC-XX manifestation must be made under the assumption of permanent kinetic threat of no less than 1kt. According to the special treaty of derogation from human rights UN/RES/16 (1946) (see document), any manifestation of SPC-XX is regarded as direct property of the SPC Foundation regardless of its gender, race, nationality or age and must be regularly tested to assess its threat level and restriction adequacy.

Is it too much for a special containment procedure paragraph ? Should I keep the detail for the document without mentionning it at the beginning ?

Why because it isn't about 911 conspiracy ?

666 and 1981. I don't find 666 creepy, but I do love the whole idea. 1981 is fucking eerie as hell though, it would have been really easy to fuck up but it works.

As for a new SCP? It would be something like a portal through time and space that would link you to areas of Earth and the universe where there was or is volcanic activity. So for instance you visit Pompeii during the Vesuvius eruption, fly over Io, etc.

I don't know whether anyone doing that would be in danger from the lava, altering the past (if that was possible) or anything else. The idea I had for it was that there would be a tunnel deep underground formed on an unclear date that might be otherwise normal but when explored through this would be different. Current idea with it is that it could be filled with strange and menacing creatures or simply be empty except for an object no one recognizes or understands. Additionally there could be some stuff about the full potential of space exploration given this new SCP's power and the horrors we'd find out there.

There's no meat to that. Flowers what kill people kind of far away. Why aren't they safe? Why can't you lock them in a big room forever?

Mine would have to be SCP-962, the "Tower of Babble"

Everything about it is awesome. From the disturbing minions it creates to it's writings and obsession with pleasing humanity to the mystery of just what, exactly, is even inside the damn thing and where the hell it came from.
>>
Had an idea for one a little while back, basic idea is that it's a humanoid skip that causes blindness if you look at him, cameras to fail, memory cards to be wiped, etc, basically just make him impossible to be observed. Hook would be that he's here as an extradimensional bounty hunter looking to take something the Foundation has from his home back with him, and views his containment as a simple waiting room.

Just made this up..

The Big Red Button.

Found in Spain, 1943, "The Big Red Button" is simply a 3" white plastic box containing a large circular red button, that, when pressed, kills the person instantly.

I used to read them all the time. Now it's far too big to enjoy them and originality suffers, imo. The way 93 leads you down a rabbit hole of info was always fun. Handful of others as well.
>>
>>17554254
I'm guessing browsing the top rated of the month archives doesn't do it anymore either?
>>
>>17554186
So everyone in SCP is blind then? It intristicly makes no sense. Maybe looking at him causes such intense discomfort (like looking at the sun) people physically can't do it.

Everything else is cool though.

Just go to scp-wiki.net and select "Top rated pages" and make an opinion yourself.

Short story long, it's a collaborative writing project where people roleplay scientist studying paranormal phenomenoms. It's growing really big now, there is almost 3000 stories.

Yesterday,

I watched three men die because one man sneezed in a room full of blood and shit and light.

Today,

three more men go in, cheap mops and each other's lives in their hands.

Yesterday,

I watched a man I admired gunned down for leaving a rose for a girl whose life was tattered by trauma she never deserved.

Today,

she doesn't remember, and three halls down I can hear her screaming.

Yesterday,

I watched a group of soldiers go down fighting against the corpses of comrades who'd died before them.

Today,

we test another sample, this time on children.

Yesterday,

I watched five men and women gunned down in an abandoned factory no one cares about.

Today,

it happens again and again. Every eleven seconds. Forever.

Yesterday,

I watched a man sit comfortably in a nice armchair, sipping scotch and laughing as he ordered a woman to simply stop breathing.

Today,

he gets the day off of work detail for good behavior.

Yesterday,

I watched hundreds of men and women in orange jumpsuits herded like animals into empty rooms that filled with gas and fire.

Today,

hundreds more are told they have a chance for a lighter sentence, and a chance to serve their country.

Yesterday,

I watched the world nearly die in a thousand thousand terrible ways. Sometimes we would have had time to scream.

Today,

I'm alive to write about it. You want happy endings? Fuck you.

You're alive to read it.

God help us all.

Secure. Contain. Protect.
