I have always enjoyed urbex. The feeling of never knowing what you will find is always a rushing feeling, yet it's always calmed by the decaying beauty. Share some cool experiences or photos taken whIle exploring abandoned places.
This is some work I found in Las Vegas near UNLV.

I used to do this almost daily, got into a lot of weird places.
Walking in abandones places meeting weird crazy hobos.
Some people here are scared of the things they find in their phones, will never know the feeling of walking trough an abandoned ghost town.
1/?
2/?
I call this photo edge central.
3/?
Also no idea why it's rotating my pictures. But anyway, note the maybe supposed blood stains in front of the cross. The walls in the room had a weird texture on them too. I'll upload it next.

+ Camera phones store orientation in .exif
+ 4chan strips .exif
+ pics end up being posted oriented weird ways
One Solution: Open pics in M$Paint, save oriented correctly as new named pic, post that pic. -M$Paint doesn't use .exif for orientation, 4chan posts pic correctly

Yeah, my bad. Mobile only as of right now. These were some pictures I snapped when I was with a few friends a while back.
The first two were from an abandoned school in Oklahoma and the last and pic related were from Tulsa Oklahoma. Can't remember the exact town of the first one for anybody interested.
I'll see if there's a way to re-orientate from my cell.

Lol don't cut yourself going down that hallway. Cool pic though, upside down crosses are always creepy to me.
Saw an urbex video of these kids in an abandoned school I'm sure it was, and doors started shutting on their own. The place had quite a lot of upside crosses

"HALL SATAN" lol

Gross you actually went in there?
>>17550135
Yeah, I've been down a lot of them so I got used to it. Was always too interested in them to turn down the adventure
>>17550135
If you want to do this you have to go to some not appealing places.
Also I'm looking for some pictures, wait a second.
>>17550026
what is it?

Just a tumbleweed lol, but walking in the dark and seeing that ahead, you can imagine I kinda freaked a little
Abandoned electrical station.
Some easy pointers for urbex.
Travel light, be brave, have cigarretes.
Why the cigarretes?, when you meet strangers in weird abandoned places they're always nicer if you give them cigarretes, good ice breaker and a good reason to be searching for a quiet place.
Spooky tunnel, I found once.
Pretty flowers.
If someone want spooky stories about abandoned places I have some.
Be me, 16 at the time, with friends in closed mental institution. Offices full of paper work, decades worth. So many names, so much 'treatment'. Top floor with lots of locked doors, friend turns sheet white and sprints out of building. Noone talks to him for two days, what he said he saw in that room scared the shit out of all of us. He couldn't tell the story without shaking and crying. I still remember that petrified look of horror on his face, 24 years later.

Was great until we found the police and got arrested. Worried about starting again since then.
>>17550347
What did he say he saw? Did he ever tell you?

That cigarette rule is without a doubt a lifesaver

>tfw you'll never explore thousands of years old ruins of a modern city.
but just thinking about the times when computers are gonna be ancient technology is scary as fug man
I'll be exploring an abandoned factory in beacon, NY this weekend. I'll take pics and post them here if the threads still up.

Modern cities are a great place for exploring as soon as they get abandoned.
Pic related this town is barely a hundred years old, sorry for the ants pic original picture got deleted.

>be 16 with 4 friends.
>we wanted to explore Carpets n, more
>abandoned warehouse for carpet sales
>anyway, look for way in
>the unloading dock for semi trucks has a garage style pull-up door
>weindisbitch.ruckus
>it's around 9 pm so it's super dark
>equipped with phone flashlights
>we start exploring the area and most if it is empty dark rooms
>room with sleeping bags in it
>obviously a bum or something has made it his residence
>decide to start fucking with people since it's in a shopping mall and people can still see inside the old place
>everytime someone passes by the door we all jump out to scare them
>one lady even shits herself, the look on her face made me sure of it plus the waddle
>it's getting late so there's not too much foot traffic anymore
1/2
>>17554419
>decide we should all start heading out it was fun while it lasted
>we make our way to the exit
>we all stop suddenly hearing the same noise
>footsteps, above us to be exact
>we all look at eachother and wait around to see if they appear again
>footsteps get louder on 2nd level, starting to head for stairs to downstairs area
>everyone flips the fuck out, pulling on each other's shirts, everyone running to the exit
>footsteps sound about 30 feet away but too afraid to look back
>we run through the exit door and make it out fine
>look behind us into darkness
>nothing there

Got you dog. My sisters gone before and said it was really spooky. Apparently there are underground tunnels of which the entrance has been lost. It would be so cool if I could find it.
>>17550320
that looks so nice
a shame that the camera quality is so poor
>>17554438
If the threads not up, you can make a thread too. I'll be surely looking for it, that sounds like a tight ass place to explore
>>17554444
Chek'd
Also, it reminds me of the tunnel in Ocarina of Time when you're leaving the starting area haha
>>17554446
I'll be sure to make one. I'll write /x/ somewhere in sharpie as a sort of time stamp so you know it's real. I'm not a pussy either so Saturday night keep an eye out for it.
