Take a shower first and have no food, drinks, or ecigs on you, maybe just water if that because animals sniff that out. A pocket knife is good for anything, I'm talking fixing things or opening boxes (I've carried one daily for 5 years and used it for plenty of things at work, school, ect). Dress warm enough, I've had to put my hands glovless on my ass because the temperature was shit and two layers of gloves made my hands feel like glass.
