I like reading about different folk lore, urban legends, mysteries and recorded creepy things. It can be a real eye opener and give you a taste of different cultures, especially from stuff over seas. A good scary story doesn't hurt either. Ive probably read more interesting things on /x/ in the past few years then ive seen in a movie or on the news

I read up on news of futurology quite a bit so knowledge of that.

People believe that it's more that man will meld with machine but actually, it seems like it's going the other way quite a bit with machine melding with man.

A.I. is progressing rapidly. A game like Go that has been around for centuries with so many nuances, intricacies and tactics that have been ever changing since it was created back in the BC era has been mastered by an A.I.

It is only natural for A.I. to best language and then, knowledge. Here's a question: If knowledge is power, than what is absolute knowledge? Our closest answer to that is the Internet.

A sufficiently trained A.I will be able to incorporate adaptive learning as a tool. No doubt Google or some other giant tech company knows this. And throwing an A.I. like that out to the internet would make for one of the most advancement in technology.

Think of the voice assistants like Siri as a very rough form of this. Siri is learning, but it still needs input from a person and mainly just spits out search results.

The next step is a Siri that can think for itself. A Siri that can form original thoughts, original observations from the near limitless data that it has access to. This is the next step being worked on.

What's the next step? Thats where bioengineering comes into play. The next goal would be to give Siri a body. Companies such as google own genetic data companies such as 23andme for this. They are most likely not banking on mechanical androids as the ones we're most familiar with, but to mix the organic with the inorganic. I have this weird theory.

I believe there should be an event in the future so important, so integral to the human psyche that it sort of forms an echo, a wave that we feel millennia before it eventually happens. I feel it'd be represented common in the psyche of all humans, I'm not sure what, something all cultures have in common, story wise, imagery, what have you.
