Well for starters OP, I dont "feel" anything about the state of the world now or ever the way you say you do. However I do think the world is changing, but I must get something out of the way before going on:

Im not religious but I saw somewhere in Buddhism an idea that I like to express as "the only thing that never changes is that there is always change". Therefore the world has been changing throughout my life, was changing before my grandparents were born, and will keep changing after my grandchildren die.

With that being said, I do think that due to the extreme nature of the issues society faces nowadays some form of extreme reaction *might*, not will, happen soon. Income inequality might reach or even already has reached a point where people could be pissed off enough to riot. Not sure about your points of view anons, but it seems that what used to be conspiracies is less ridiculed and a little bit more accepted as knowledge today. Some sort of gradual government corruption disclosure is slowly being brought forth by people, both in the US and my country. Hell, Senator Sanders in the US is openly calling for a revolution.

Culture and business are being increasingly driven by a new generation, and while that by itself always brings changes, this new generation is far more different from the previous one than it has happened before, as far as studies seem to keep track of these things. McDonalds has already started shrinking for the first time in 40 years, presumably due to increased health awareness these days, but definitely because people are noticing changes in the recipes they dont like. Car dealerships in my country have given up on declining sales and now say only the government can save them by un-fucking the economy which here is thoroughly fucked. The latest generation to join the workforce seems unable to afford housing and are not marrying until much later, if at all. But this all I just mentioned is in my view the death of 20th century dynamics
