Non-sequitor, but this song fucked me up for a while. It's that slow dance beat and the odd oscillating synth sound coupled with the plaintive vocals that drew me in, and for some reason while it was playing and the first part of the vid with all of them enjoying that expansive flat blue pool really put me in a tailspin of depression. Idiomatic of mispent youth and sudden, horrid realization to me. I was a little kid in the 80s and the heavy synth has some really deep subconscious ties to me I guess.
