The planet was red and blue. Blue seas(?) with a cimson landmass. The wings seems to be a sort of protection, kind of like shields. at first I thought them so, until I saw them rustle.

I can think of two ways it's interpreted. Either you need to break the chains that are binding you in place if you're even going to reach this "new world" of your. Or it's a warning the current path you are own will lead to you being bound and the life you wanted shielded away from you by higher powers.
