Funny thing is my mom goes running miles to get to a prairie of wild blueberries and here I go and find more plumper blueberries on the property we already one just past the end of the driveway than the prairie. The weird thing is a good decade ago (post us owning the property which is 8 hours from our regular home in Ohio) someone came in and cleared major trees. You crawl through dense, retina scratching trees and brush and then come to a huge opening (I will post pics of this if anyone interested. But it doesn’t seem logging was the operation. There are large burn marks on the ground and everywhere there are hue stacks of trees that were roughly piled. Big burn marks of some stumps and these gullies where stagnant water has collected. I was the original one to rediscover this so I kept pushing until I came to a one cabin lake where it was obvious without binoculars that these people are hillbilly as fuck. I ask my parents about it and they say Oh yeah that must lead back to the Schenier’s and they drive me past and I FUCKING SWEAR TO GOD two pale redneck kids, barely dressed, were staring at us from the end of that roughshod driveway. To grasp this anomaly you have to understand a passing vehicle on those roads is about once an hour if that. From what I remember they never saw me when I spied them
