Woke up that morning, no fucking clue what happened. I felt perfectly fine too, but I've had this weird as fuck mark on my right side rib ever since. It's really sensitive to touch, it really bothered me at work today wearing a tucked in polo. I'm seeing a doctor about is this Thursday, in the meantime, thought you guys might find this interesting. I've done little research on things like abductions and such, so let me know if you guys have any theories on what the fuck happened. I'll lurk if you guys have questions, and I'll come back to post what the doctor says on Thursday night.

Instant confusion. I just looked around and my first thought was "Did I drink last night?"... But my head felt clear, it didn't even feel like waking up from a night of drinking, so I quickly dismissed it. I then noticed my girlfriend wasn't in bed, so my focus turned to worrying if she was okay. That's when I ran out to the living room. You may want to consider the possibility you fell into a fugue state (the doctor certainly will). This shit occurs, its a somewhat understood phenomenon. Most people believe fugue states last for a very long time, and while they can, they can also last for just a few hours.

This obviously however, does not explain your injury. It is not a tremendous leap to assume that during a dissociative fugue state, you gave yourself the injury in some way.

I think you're already on the right path, get to the doctors, tell them everything, the lost time, the amnesia, the injury, the sensation under the skin, all of it.

Keep an open mind to both the supernatural, and to what is unusual but explainable.

could the mark be a bruise/swelling from knocking into something, like the corner of a counter or railing or something when your buddy had to subdue you?

Any firm lumps under the skin are usually indicative of an abscess, which would probably mean you have an infection of some sort. Not sure how the fugue state plays into it.

For anyone who would like to replicate this mark, take a beer bottle and bend it slightly so that the parts at either end are forming a smaller circle. Press the bottle against your skin really really fucking hard and leave it there for a long time. And keep pressing it really hard. Yes, it's going to hurt. That's why people aren't stupid enough to do it.

My friend did this to himself one time when he was really wasted. He said he could make it look like he was bitten by an animal and did this. But, he only pressed it down for a minute or two. It drew some blood and he stopped. And, he did it on his arm where blood can come out more easily.

It looks like you were doing this for like the entire two hour period of time you were missing. And, to your stomach. I don't know why or how. But, the fact that it's on a softer, fleshier part of your body is why it's bruised and scabbed the way it has.

I'm not discounting the possibility of something beyond normal events occurring. I'm just saying, that's where the mark came from. What lead you or someone else to do that to you and what lead you to be so angry at beer bottles is still a complete mystery. Though, I think the anger towards beer bottles would be a direct result of the pain that caused you.

And what lured you outside? Why would you or something else just do that to yourself? There's definitely something odd going on. But, that mark is not the strange part.
