Through doing a lot of reading on the subject, the same as any other person. Tesla, one of the smartest men that ever lived, received signals from it shortly after setting up one of his inventions in Colorado. Since the 1930s there were worldwide reports of radio signals allegedly from it, yet the first man made polar orbiting object wasn't launched 'til 1960. This thing was spotted in the 1940s and photographed in 57 & the 60's by many space agencies around the world and the US and Soviet Union showed special interest in it. Time ran a story on it, and it has been researched plenty even to this day.

It's estimated to weigh 10 tons, which would at the time it was spotted and for decades after the heaviest item in orbit, highly unlikely that it is "debris" when NASA official images show it from many angles over the years.

That's a real scientist, and why he was one of the smartest men alive. He didn't say "aliums!" on the first go and then let that be the answer. He kept investigating.

It's a bunch of unrelated stories cobbled together to create a history for a non-existent object.

Half the stories are fake or exaggerated as well.
>>
>>17304060
That's bullshit though. He didn't pick up signals from the satellite, people just took a story about him finding signals and tacked it onto this satellite bullshit.

It's the same for the rest of the stories. People take a bunch of truths and half truths and throw them together and say it all originates with this satellite.

>The origin of the Black Knight legend is often "retrospectively dated" back to natural extraterrestrial repeating sources heard during the 1899 radio experiments of Nikola Tesla
Ok so here we have an explanation for, and a starting date for the Black Knight myth.

Now lets see what else wikipedia says about it

>The Black Knight satellite is claimed by some conspiracy theorists[1] to be an object approximately 13,000 years old
Huh, 13,000 years old? I wonder how they came up with that number when it was only "discovered" in the 1800s?

If you can't see that the whole thing is bullshit then you're a fucking idiot.
>>
>>17308244

Its literally a sheet of fucking metal. Chill the fuck out, there's tons of shit up there because we pollute the fuck out of space with shitty satellites. On average, we lose 1 satellite every year due to the 300,000 pieces of space junk we left floating around our planet, all of which are monitored.

black knight is a failed low earth orbit ship made by the russians. some human was sent up but for a unknown reason never came back down.

it was before their more refined latter attempts . much like later the SR71 black bird america had made it can reach space without large rockets. it just goes really fast and if you keep a slight upward climb you reach space. the SR71 goes faster but BK went fast enough

its not alien in origin. its more of a tomb than anything
>>
>>17303757
Ive had a thought for a while, if anyone remembers https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disappearance_of_Frederick_Valentich

What if it was an alien craft using magnet technology to pull his aircraft with them but accidentally lost his craft or threw it into orbit for some weird purpose. The reason it might not look like his plane is because it's been hit with all kinds of space debris.

You're an idiot.

How can you claim an object that was discovered in 1800s is 13,000 years old?

Keep in mind that it has never been visited, interacted with, or any samples collected from it.
So people literally looked at it and said "yep, 13,000 years old!"

>he Black Knight satellite legend starts with Nicola Tesla. It's said that he picked up a repeating radio signal in 1899, that he believed was coming from space, and said so publicly at a conference. In the 1920s, amateur HAM radio operators were able to receive this same signal. Next, scientists in Oslo, Norway experimenting with short wave transmissions into space in 1928, began picking up Long Delay Echoes (LDEs), a not fully understood phenomenon in which they received echoes several seconds after transmission. The apparent explanation finally came in 1954 when newspapers (including the St. Louis Post Dispatch and the San Francisco Examiner) reported an announcement from the US Air Force that two satellites were found to be orbiting the Earth, at a time when no nation yet had the ability to launch them. It appeared that Black Knight had been detected by multiple lines of evidence, and was confirmed by the US Air Force.
>>
>In 1973, Scottish researcher Duncan Lunan wanted to know for certain. He went back to the Norwegian scientists' LDE data and analyzed it. Lunan discovered that it was a star chart pointing the way to Epsilon Boötis, a double star in the constellation of Boötes. Whatever Black Knight was, it appeared to be transmitting an invitation from the people of Epsilon Boötis, an invitation that was 12,600 years old, according to Lunan's analysis.
That is where the dating comes from, make of it what you will.
>>
>>17314181
>In 1954, newspapers ran stories citing a statement by UFO researcher Donald Keyhoe that the U.S. Air Force had reported that two satellites orbiting Earth had been detected. At this time no one had the technology to launch a satellite, however skeptics have noted that "Keyhoe had been promoting a UFO book at the time" and the news stories were likely written "tongue-in-cheek" and not intended to be taken seriously.[4][2][1]
>>
>>17314187
> Lunan later retracted his conclusions, admitting he'd made "outright errors" and characterizing his methods as "unscientific"
