Right, that's what I mean. It's confusing, and why is that? If one had the basic knowledge required it wouldn't be confusing, it would make sense either way one looked at it. it's interesting that historically speaking gotama buddha left his home at age 29 to live as a wandering ascetic striving for nirvana. his saturn's return must've began around age 27 and by 29 he could no longer fulfill his worldly role as husband, father, inheritor of his father's duties, etc.

Imho, Gnostic Christians are Greek + Qabbalist, the conflict between the two is evident in the early history of the Church (see: Paul). If gnostics inherited any Egyptian traditions, it was totally by accident courtesy of the Qabbalists.

Perhaps. I thought Greek mysticism came from Egypt. I think it was Hermes Trismegistus from Ancient Greece the founder of Hermeticism is recognized as the Egyptian Thoth. There is also Pythagoras who is rumored to have learned from the remnants of the Egyptian mystery schools. They all seem interrelated to me somehow.
