I don't have a Biblical answer for that. It does not say why God what He does, you'd have to ask Him. I can speculate though, based on all the things I know about God.

I do know is that when I started to believe in God, but had no idea which God was true, I just kept praying all the time, and I was humble, I wanted the truth more than anything no matter what it was.

All you have to do to get saved, is to simply trust that Jesus died on the cross for YOUR sins. That He was buried and rose again 3 days later.

I have had divine intervention twice, both through Christianity. I have practiced other religions, but I am now a Christian. The Holy Spirit is real, but I fear that the Bible has truly become a work of man, and we are devoid of the true Jesus Christ. 2000 years is a long time for civilizations to change the word of God, and we have no way of knowing what books have been moved, removed, or edited. I suppose this is where true faith comes in. I try to trust in Jesus Christ as much as I can, but I am born a skeptic... Eh, i was a atheist and went though demonic attack. When i realized what was going on i accepted Jesus repented and changed. But i was stuck on the eternal hell thing. I lived in fear of God i could not love him i felt like i had to be perfect or i would go to hell.

I kept praying asking God not to send people to hell for not accepting Jesus. As a previous atheist i had a huge problem with this i know other atheists and agnostics who just don't care. And all these preachers tell you these people along with people who never heard of Jesus were going to burn in hell for eternity. Logically it just made no sense to me and the only reason i found Jesus is because i came under demonic attack.

After praying a lot about it i came across Universal Reconciliation. I was scared of to read about it at first i didn't want to believe in some heresy that would get me sent to hell. I now believe it to be true or some form of it because it makes sense. The reason i never believed was because of eternal hell because it made no sense.

Sin offends Him eternally.
Punishment for sin has to be eternal death.
