Serious answer: If you're going to use it for scrying, meditating, contact, whatever, I suggest purifying it first just in case - pack it in salt for 3 days, etc. A close family member got a hand-me-down crystal close to twenty-five years ago and she had to wrap it with iron pieces to get the bad shit to calm down. Weird stuff still happens. anyway yeah. just cleanse it.
