I like that definition, but it always seems lacking to me for some reason. I feel like that definition only exists to shut people up about what's paranormal vs. what supposedly isn't. Some might argue stuff like religion isn't paranormal because it's sort of an everyday thing for a lot of people, but you can also argue that the content of religion is paranormal because it generally isn't encountered until after death. A lot of stuff that gets posted on this board is legitimately debatable as paranormal or not and it never really gets discussed well.

But then again, maybe that boundary is supposed to be blurry and we're not supposed to define it.

I'm gonna go ahead and define universe before the simulation thread spirals out of control.

The universe is everything enveloped by whatever incomputable basis makes existence possible.

Proof: A valid argument that something CAN make sense.

Evidence: Actual recorded information about the world that suggests that something is possible IRL (as opposed to "possible in theory").

Wrong: A crime against humanity.

Right: A crime against humanity composed of thinking that there is only one type of wrong in the world.

Exactly. If we boil it down to basic definitions, the stupidity will exist in its purest form for all to see.

/x/ would not be /x/ without obscurantism. the idea of sitting down and unpacking all the spooky jargon we use is admirable, but it sort of goes perpendicular to the vocabulary of most occultism. Silly simple ideas sound really cool and mysterious when they are mired in obtuse language and unknown words

I'd estimate maybe 3% of /x/ actually practices the occult in any real capacity. Everyone else is just a fan. I guess I'll be disappointed if the only definition skeptics care about is magick.
