Is there ever any confusion or mix up between the mothman and the Ohio grassman? I feel like there might be, but the mothman has only been known for being seen in WV, right?

most people want to see cryptozoology as normal science, but most of those cryptids I read about are indulged in wierd paranormal shit or even occult. Yes even famous Yeti/Bigfoot or Nessie.

The description of them is almost exactly the same, big ass 6-8ft humanoid with wings. The blackbird of Chernobyl that was supposedly sighted before the nuclear indecent are also similar to Mothman in description and the scenario of it being seen in a time leading up to a great disaster is also similar. The people who sited it also supposedly received strange phone calls and experienced terrifying nightmares, almost exactly like the mothman story.

Anyone curious about all the weird "whirring/buzzing" mechanical noises that mothman is known for?

Only thing that doesn't make me discount it as just a fucking owl. Trust me, owls are fucking scary as hell, but they don't make fucking gear noises.

Point Pleasant is a dump. Hasn't been any mothman sightings around here for awhile. My grandma swears she saw him looking through her window years ago though.
