yeah, the good carnelian costs $2000 for a 1" stone. beautiful cut and very rare. i started learning about stones because of magic and realized that there are industries built around high end, polished and properly cut stones. people study for years to be stone cutters. maybe that's why freemasons are so popular, because they know how to cut stones?
