Coptic Orthodox church had some severe clashes with the Ethiopian Orthodox one. There are often fights and conflicts between delegations of different denominations during events in Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem.
And on the whole Orthodoxy has done enough evil. Less than Catholicism maybe, but still.
So I personally prefer non-sectarian Christianity and ethical teachings of visionaries (like Leo Tolstoy, for example).

Regarding your quotes - they are about the Apostles, who were the students of Jesus Christ. However nothing was said about creating a cult with a complex ritual system, hierarchy, pompous buildings, etc. Christ stated it explicitly that there isn't and shouldn't be any mediators between man and God.
The so called Ecumenical councils were simply a political endeavor of the Roman Empire. They did not establish Christ's Church, they just created their own, which later split.
