I got a call from an old buddy of mine, he told me to meet him near the beach. Shores like this remind me of the war when we stormed that beach. The fog is thick, which doesnt set my mind at ease. Ive been waiting for over an hour and the fucker doesnt show up. I go to light a smoke and i look up and see three giant beasts coming from the ocean.
"Damnit frank i said no more monster huntin" i say before taking another long drag from my cigarette

Simon knew the battle had been won the moment he saw them. The monsters that had just poofed into existance seconds ago were beginning to fall. He took a nice long drag on his cigarrete as he watched them collapse under their own weight. They let out a low frequency scream that was not of this world. It seemed like he was watching giant human shaped water droplets patter against the ground. And then came the splash, small chunks of meat rained down upon him. He watched the spectacle until the monsters were nothing more than big splats

I knew Cabot when he was a good man, so I put up with it. "What's the point when there ain't no women?" He'd kept asking in his simple way between swigs of rum for the six months we laid low, shivering together deep in the guts of that old missile silo. Abandoned, its payload must have been launched during those early days when Cabot's brats were still around. Before the booze. Before the tele went out.

"Hey," he'd ask and poke me urgently, repeatedly in the shoulder, "Hey," and every time he did I thought he was the spitting image of Ernest Borgnine, rest his soul, "Hey, suppose there's some women somewhere, laying low just like you and me. Wouldn't that be somethin'?"

"Yeah, that'd be something."

He'd gone a little quiet then. I lit my pipe, held my hand over the bowl because I'd forgotten what it felt like to be warm, and watched the gray skies somewhere high above the spiraling walkways that circumnavigated the launch shaft. It still smelled like jet fuel in here.

"Hey," Cabot poked me in the shoulder. "Hey,".

"Yes?"

"You think maybe this is just a bad dream?"

"Yeah... That'd be something."

I knew him when he was a good man, so as he turned and staggered slowly toward the exit, toward gray skies and teeming ocean like a fellow on death row, I felt the strange compulsion to do him a favor.

"Hey, Cabot."

He slowly turned, body trembling. His big, doe eyes gleamed at me with dumb, painful hope. I raised the .45 and put him down hard and quick. I knew him when he was a good man, before the rum, before the teles went out, before the wormwood.

I took a step outside. One of the last things I'd heard was that the Calvert Cliffs plant had gone critical, spewing rads as far as the Chesapeake. I don't know how accurate that is, I don't even know if that's how reactors work. But it might be why my face suddenly felt warm in spite of the surf and mist off the cold ocean. Felt good to breathe the outside air again.

I took a drag off my pipe and waited. Watched them come. I don't know how they always knew, or if there were just so many of them that it was only a matter of time. I took a drag. Maybe there's an afterlife?

"Yeah... that'd be something."

I stood unfliching at the edge the peer, my overcoat occasionally flapping in the oceans breeze. My custom fit fadora held firmly in place; my crown. With one hand on my cigarette, my other gripped tightly on the blade hidden beneath my coat, I watched those putrid creatures rise from their murky ocean slumbers. They say the fog-walkers contain the souls of the natives who once inhabited this desolate land and are just as peaceful, despite their frightening appearance.

Terrifying or not, they tend not to approach the visiting humans and if they do, it's merely out of a child-like curiosity.

This elder walker I had been photographing all morning appears to agitated however, which is rare, and is continuing to approach me in what is a record speed for these sloth-like creatures.

What got his one so rustled?

"Who, me? Why me General? Why would I know anything...?" he asks in a light-hearted tone, bordering a mocking and condescending one, a teaseful grin curving along the lip of the man. He enjoyed teasing them, he enjoyed watching them grow more and more anxious and flustered, angrier and angrier at his antics. Something about being able to make men as powerful as the four in front of him /plead/ and /beg/. Sure, it can be considered sadistic, but that didn’t make a difference, that was just a trait that came naturally to him.

The man leaned back into his chair, kicking his legs up on the desk and letting out a relaxed sigh, folding his hands behind his head. The man grinned as one of the generals clenched his fist and growled, his face growing redder and redder by the minute. “You do know that power doesn’t come easy, right? I can’t just...GIVE you it…” the man murmurs with a grin, “I am gonna have to ask for a... /little/....something in return…” he says, snapping his fingers, a scroll appearing on the table.

The man leans forward, unrolling the scroll and sliding it towards the four, grinning, “Please, sign here...and what you desire will be yours…” he murmurs, watching them sign the scroll with an eager gaze, a chuckle escaping him as he pulls the scroll away, snapping his fingers and grinning.

“And what I desire will be mine...enjoy your wish, men, because i’ll be seeing you in hell soon…” he murmurs with a laugh.

So I bought this postcard featuring this painting from a charity shop last week. I thought it would be a fitting card to send my grandfather. He has always stubbornly refused to welcome technology in his life. He also grew up on a chicken farm that was ran by his father, and I thought this would fill him with a warm nostalgia. He always had a bizarre affinity with the chickens. They would always follow him around, and the rooster would only perform a wake up call at what seemed like the same time as my grandfather woke up.

As you can see, he should really appreciate it. Apart from that, we've never really been close. I work in the technology industry, where you must constantly adapt to the current trends to stay employed. Besides the paternal link, we have very little in common. The message I sent was full of generic pleasantries. I wasn't hopeful for a response.

To my surprise, I received a reply 2 days after I sent the original postcard. I found this bizarre as my grandfather lives 800 miles away. What was more bizarre was what I received. I received a postcard almost identical to the one I sent, except this one was heavily dog-eared and worn. As I picked it up, white feathers dropped from it. The message only read: "Dear Anon". The rest of the space was full of claw marks; the scratchings were erratic in their pattern.

This reply startled me a lot. Was my grandfather ok? He was never one for practical jokes. I tried to call him, but then as I searched for his number on ny phone, I remembered he has never owned a phone. My only form of contact was by post. I hastily wrote a letter asking for a serious response. I sent the letter with express delivery and a signature on arrival.

The rest of the day was sent panicking about my grandfather's wellbeing, and who would write such a fucked up response? I finally went to bed at 2am. Upon making contact with my pillow I heard the doorbell ring. This scared me shitless. (...)

Director James Cameron funded a dive to the Mariannas Trench, not just for exploration but to spark his creative mind. With NatGeo leading expedition, he himself went in the sub. Cameron dived to the bottom of the thrench. " it was barren, lunar and appreciating" he said in an interview, amazed at the tranquil darkness at the bottom of the world. His trip though, had to be cut short due to a leak, but he was satisfied. Or, at least...thats Natgeo's official statement.

Rumors say Cameron saw something at the bottom. That he told his close friends that he saw what could only be described as a door, a very large door, at the bottom of the chasm. The "door" was protruding from the seabed. The crew above, upon seeing the live feed, ordered Cameron to surface. While Cameron was rising, he noticed that the "door" was slightly ajar.
"Darkness" he said, "Darker than the abyss I've just dived"
But, these are only rumors.

I can hear, nothing. Nothing but the screeching bats. I've wandered through this damned canyon for what seems like weeks now. I'm starving, dehydrated, and most of all tired. But death is cruel, and seems to watch me, amused, but refuses to intervene. The walls of the canyon stretch up into the sky, and are lined with strange statues, visages of some hooded figure, whose face is nothing but a skull, each one is different from the last, even if only slightly, and they all seem to almost be praying to something. And their feet seemingly fuse into the lower wall of the canyon, and then flow into the floor upon which i'm walking. The only thing keeping me from collapsing out of exhaustion is the light of my lantern. Though it's light is burning at a color resembling that of puss. Its spontaneous flicker, holds enough variety to keep me sane when the only other thing I can see is the repeating walls of the chasm and the bleak, white sand on which I tread.

It has to have been months now, years maybe, I have no sense of time as it is known to most men. All I know are the walls, and the floor.

I march onward, I think nothing of those surreal thoughts of time, feeling, My feet must have become a bloody pulp a few kilometers back.My vision blurs at every other step, But I have drawn hope from what appears to be an archway. Its freakish shape seemed to be carved out of the edge of an abyss, nothing behind it, and the heads of the statues lining the canyon don't appear to continue past it.

Relief, the first I have felt in eternities floods over me as the gargantuan doors slowly swing open. Behind them is a screen of pure white, I hear something, a repetitive chirping sound. Birds! And the wind, I can hear the wind! I march faster now, I close my eyes as my body meets the gate, the air suddenly becomes cool and the relief finally hits me. And then I stop, look to my right. And for as far as I can see, stretch walls, lined with massive, grim statues.

Umm, well surprisingly enough I don't read books a whole lot.

Well, not novels anyways.

But Treasure Island was quite good, although I haven't read it in forever.

The only books I've got are either my younger brother's or my dad's. I've read some of my brother's stuff but to be honest my dad's stuff is like, Atlas Shrugged, and collections of old poetry and short stories. My brother's shit is stereotypical young adult fiction bs, like the Hunger Games and Percy Jackson (Only decent moments in the hunger games are in the last book and it's not worth reading them to get to those parts.) So yeah, I don't get much reading done.

Sorry to disappoint, anon

(P.S.) Sorry for the long post.

As this towering horrors plodded towards me, I gazed from the brim of my vintage fedora, the folds of my cheeto stained neckbeard glistening in the morning sunlight.

My right hand, encrusted with my lonely years of fapping reached towards my Walmart Katana and as the Towering Hellbeasts bellowed a chilling cry I whispered in reply.

"M'lady..."

Today was quiet. While this may be normal for where I live, today was different. Almost like everyone was hiding, or they had all decided to go out-of-town at the same time. Nevertheless I strapped on my boots. If i've got nobody to talk to I might as well take a quick stroll down the beach. It was rather foggy outside as well, but since I had nothing better to do, I figured I might as well

As I'm walking, I spot something in the distance, A whale has washed ashore! I break into a light jog as I move in to investigate. From where I can see, it seems to be a sperm whale, which usually stay out in deeper water. I wonder what could've brought it so close to shore? As I get closer, I notice something odd about the whale, it's fins had been torn off, and it's covered in scars, they race down its body as if someone had taken a massive fork and raked it across the gentle giant. I began to call for someone to help get it off of the beach, but nobody was outside. So I just sort of stand there for a while, wondering what to do. Just then, I hear seagulls flying overhead in a panic. Off in the distance, about 2 or 3 Kilometers, I see a shape forming in the fog. It must be my eyes playing some kind of sick joke. The shape seems to rise far above the clouds, and though I cannot make its shape out clearly, it seems almost humanoid. But something about its shape, its proportion, it doesn't make sense, it's strange, and I do not know if I am capable of describing it here. It seemed to be moving closer inland, and moved too fast for something that big. As it came within a mile of the shore I could see it more clearly now, It was some wretched titan spawned from the darkest nightmares of some psychotic person. Its head stretched far into the clouds, and I know not the look of its face, but I could feel its piercing gaze, it seemed almost judging me. its arms were tiny, not even large enough to be arms, and its flesh seemed to be made of writhing black worms. >>cont
>>
>>17047055
is it?
>>
>>17047056
Its legs were thick and round, like massive charcoal trees, and around it was a ring of at least two story high tentacles, squirming about, and grabbing anything unfortunate enough to get caught in the abysmal colossus' path, and pulled them under the waves. I snapped out of the trance I was in, and began to run farther inland, all the while the tide seemed almost to chase me, I barely made it up the bank of rocks that separated shore from roadway before the waves slammed against them. As I'm running, something clicks inside my head, It is futile to run, he will just catch me no matter where I run or hide, the prince of the depths finds all he seeks, so I turn towards the mass of black, and stand ready for him to accept me, I'd simply be disappointed here. Why not join him?

The clerk had informed that that the finest reading material would be in the back of the shop. I walked until I reached the end of the row of bookcases. Behind one, I noticed a peculiar door. A metal sign bolted to the door read in carving "Διαδρομή στην Αρkαδία". I was drawn to the door. I could feel my pulse quicken as I observed the plain, oak door and the foreign writing. I opened it and stepped out. Upon exiting the shop, a strong gust of wind spun around me and stung my eyes. When it was left me, I had not noticed yet that which was my situation. Looking down at my feet, I saw that I was suspended in midair. I soon fell to my knees. I fell, but I was still afloat about what appeared to be a vast and large forest. Crawled, but not on land. A buzzing and throbbing went through my head, and I felt as if I were about to explode. What I placed my hands and knees on felt cooler than any surface I had ever touched. Like a sheet of thick, unbreakable ice that was blanketed above the forest. I stumbled again when trying to stand up, but I was turned around. The door had vanished. I wanted to scream. I did not know where I was. I tried once more to stand, but yet again, my legs failed to aide. I crawled, half expecting to fall through this invisible window and find myself situated on the branch of tree. Or worse. I could land on the ground any minute and be stranded in this strange land. The coldness of the invisible surface began to sting my palms, and I had to retract them for several minutes before continuing my journey into the unknown again. During those minutes, I sat and looked about. I saw no men or creatures. Only the trees in which I was above.

Peering into the horizon, I did find an unfamilliar figure. It appeared to be dozens of lines leading up from the ground. The lines were connected to each other. I set a goal to carry on in the direction of the lines. I raised myself up amd found balance. I walked with ease now. I did not know where I was going. I did not know what I would find. But I knew I was given a new purpose.

I will teach my story, my story of how I lost my soul.
It was in a beach where I used to play as child, and I come here every June to remember the good times. I always heard stories about cloud-like creatures that eat flesh human caming fom sky in rainy days. As a child, K used to being scared about it, but when I grow this myths just become aa shadow of good days.
I was driving in a road near the sea, and as I was looking to the dark grey clouds I though that rain is near. I started to look fixed At the shapes of clouds. I see what seemed to be a arm made by clouds, that quickly made my mind remember the old stories. At first it make me a bit happy of nostálgico, but them... I see a cloud with the shape of a deformed skull. My first emotion was a irrational fear, almost panic. I noted.that my body hair was spiked, and my.first though was drive fast as possible away from that evil clouds. My I didnt, hell why I dont rum away? I ignored my instincts and remembered my self that it's just a cloud. II was still afraid, but keep driving for five or six minutes, and the faces appeared more condensate and in more quantity. I become even more afraid, my body was trembling and then my car simply stopped in the road.
I see the clouds geting body larts, connecting arma with torso, torso with heads until this inominable creatures of clouds abandones the sky and start to walking in sea, relatively closo to the beach. At this time I was totally in panic, but the creatures looked to having something magical that make me open the door of my car and stopped at.footh staring to them.
I see their empty eyes seeing fixed at me when they get close and close. I still couldnt move and the creature stopped near me, and touch my head with his wet hands, if we could call it hands. After that I dismayed, and when I woke I was in a hospital, the doctors say that I beat my head on a rock, but I know what happened...

It looked like all happines in the world dissapeared. I become fully deppresive, tried suicide many times, but everytime I survived. It's like my brain make Mr survive.
I have dreams every night about the creatures, they speak in a strange language, but I could understand... They say to me back to the beach, they say that they could help me... I dont know, June is near maybe I must come back and see what the creatures want.

It was around that time I was feeling up for the Del Taco Debacle. The lobby was quite empty at that late hour, yet it was still open to the public. It is then that I asked for a cheese burrito.

After receiving the burrito, I retired to the restroom to unwrap my phallic surfing friend and administer hot sauce. With the unwrapped burrito and a bit of hydration from the toilet water, I began to submit the burrito into my anus. What quivers the hot sauces caused my butthole. What wonders of smell had I experience that night? I know now, because I had passed out with only half the taco submerged in my mud pit.

The cops asked me why I did it. I simply responded, "because it is there."

This broadcast is a narration the events that lead me to my current fate mixed with what will likely be my last thoughts.I'm doing this as a way to
pass the time and keep my sanity as my end nears.Though there is a chance someone will pick up this broadcast it's highly unlikely and even if they
did they likely won't have a time to save me in time or for that matter even recover my body.God help anyone who does find my body.

I was part of a deep sea diving team contracted by a government organization to salvage what we could from a crashed research vessel.
Me and the rest of my team arrived via boat to the coordinates the ship was located. There were six of us.The head of the operation,Charles Milton,
and our boats captain,Sam Flint, would stay topside whereas me and two of my colleagues, whom were named Frank Johnson and Edward Clinton, would spend
the next three hours scouting around the crash site.We were just suppose to be looking for now. After the initial search we would restock of air then
start moving what we could topside.

We started to realize that something was wrong on our way down.Johnson did atleast.About a half mile from the crashed ship he pointed eastward saying
he could see something off in the distance.I looked to were he pointed and thought I could see something.A seemed to be a massive shadow with a vague
dark green tint.It was miles off, barely within seeing range.I shrugged it off when Clinton informed that the we were just above the ship wreck.I wish
to god I had backed out at that point. No amount of words can emphasize that enough.

Milton radioed down to us telling Johnson to stay above the wreckage well me and Clinton explored the interior. This plan in retrospect seemed like a
bad idea.If something were to happen to both of us Johnson couldn't pull us both up.I didn't question it at the time because I was to preoccupied
with the condition the ship was in.According to the mission briefing supposedly the last transmission from the crashed vessel suggested that it was
caught in some form of a whirlpool. What I was looking at though suggested otherwise. There were holes in it's sides. They weren't the normal type of
holes you would suspect from a shipwreck. They were clean. They went from one side to the other. They were nearly perfect circles that cut straight
through multiple layers of the ships metal hull and walls. As me and the others approached the ship I noticed a substance on the edge of the holes.
I reached out to touch it but I realized it could be acidic.Johnson called Milton and updated him on our sitution. He said to go ahead and continue the
mission.Well they spoke I locked eyes with Clinton for a brief moment.I could see he shared my trepidation.
>>
>>17053869
>>17054048
>>17054110
As planned Clinton and I entered well Johnson waited outside. The two of us split up inside but kept semi-close.We moved though the halls together. He
checked the rooms on the right and I checked the rooms on the left. There was much to find.As we made it towards the cargo bay I noticed something.
This shipwreck seemed old.It looked semi-modern but the metal was rusting. Most of the wooden or organic objects like the occasional house plant or
wooden crate were practically incinerated.I could barely recognize them.According to the mission brief this boat had only crashed a couple days ago.
Judging by the level of decay I would say it seemed to of been at the bottom of the ocean for several years at least.I kept my mouth shut about
it when Clinton radioed Johnson to inform him of are progress.Clinton said that all we had left to scout out was the cargo bay.Well they spoke I
noticed a sense or worry in Johnson voice.I also got the impression that he was focused on something else aside from us.When I asked him if something
was wrong I was shocked to get a response from milton up topside. He told us there was nothing to worry about and to keep going.
>>
>>17053869
>>17054048
>>17054110
>>17054112
We arrived at the doors to the cargo bay which were already open and I noticed something odd about them. There were dents on like something had
pounded against them.Upon closer expectation I began to scratch marks on them.I began to radio Clinton but he radioed me informing me that there was
something that I needed to see.He was standing on a staircase that lead to the cargo hold well looking downward.I enter the cargo hold and stood next
To him.I looked at what he looked at and was shocked. The floor of the cargo hold was littered with bones. They were decayed and green from rot,
partially submerged in mud.Several realizations at this point began crashing down on me.I now realized that despite being in a crashed ship we hadn't
seen any bodies.Seeing the state those bones were in made ended any doubt I had that this shipwreck was older than the brief had let on.As my mind
began to processes all this Johnson radioed in one last time.He sounded scared and on the verge of tears. He quietly asked me and Clinton to please
hurry outside. He stopped talking before the radio went out as I could still hear him breathing.I could tell all the way on the bottom of the ship that
something was deeply wrong. My mind for a split second flashed on a image of a scared animal the size of a housecat being cornered a rabid bear.
Clinton and I exchanged brief glances than turned to leave the ship.

I think I'll leave this story on a cliffhanger for tonight.

"It was just me and Spike. A crisp breeze lazily rolled through the air, making the already chilling temperature even colder. I loved it though. The cold freshened my mind, gave me more room to think, if that makes sense. We stopped at a point in the hillside for a small breather. The snow gently fall into the white powder that lay around me. So peaceful. I missed this. I heard a soft crunch in the snow. It was very faint, I had to perk my ears up to hear the second one. Spike glanced to my left and began growling which made me turn 180° almost immediately. I had my makeshift spear at my hip, attack mode if you will.

And there in front of me stood a...giant. As large as the oak tree in my front yard. It's beard was long and nappy, it resembled a wild Santa Clause, if you will. But I didn't feel any fear when I saw it. I was strangely calm, my adrenaline had spiked, but for some reason I felt...safe. Spike had stopped growling at that point, but ears perked and a slightly tilted head, he was probably in as much confusion as I was."

Yeah I got bored there.

The machine stood across the ridge. That was my only way out. It has been following me for sometime, and it's finally backed me into a corner. This little shack, barely standing amongst the rubble. There wasn't much of anything except rubble now, but the rocks and broken cinder blocks and cement pieces were all sand under the machine's feet.

They had used some kind of chemical agent. Maybe a virus. It didn't affect some, but most were doomed from the start of this. The skies turned green over London, and people began dying. Then the machines came down themselves. I saw them fall, five of them. All taller than a double decker and formidable looking- what we all rightly assumed were- weapons The military intercepted quickly, several jets flew by and fired their payloads into them. Everyone cheered as the falling machines blew apart, thankful only a bit of rubble would hit the ground.

Then the menace standing before me came. Larger, more menacing than all the rest put together.
It hit the ground, destroying the neighborhoods it walked through by simply being there.

During our way up we tried to radio Johnson to no success.Right as we made it to the top floor I radioed Milton and Flint.I picked up a signal from
them.I'm still not sure if I regret doing so.They were struggling.I could hear one of them screaming that it was all around them.Panic set in as I
heard one of them say something along the lines of "It's to late.We should just leave them.We got to get the hell out of here".It took a moment for
what they said to sink in and when it did I paniced.I said to Clinton that we needed to hurry and get back to the boat before it was to late but as I
swam to exit the ship via one of the massive holes I mentioned earlier Clinton grappled my arm and pulled me back.I asked him what the hell and he
told me to look well pointing out the hole I was about to pass through.
>>
>>17058700
The water outside was getting darker. It was doing it quickly to.In a matter of seconds the hole leading to the sea outside was pitch black.I suddenly
got a gut feeling telling me to flee.I turned around only to find that Clinton had already acted on my idea.I followed him far too panicked to think
about my actions. As we turned a corner I could hear a crunching sound coming from where we were just at followed by the whole ship shaking and
starting to turn.Whatever was outside was capsizing the whole ship.I didn't know of any sea creature that could have that amount of size and strength.
I could see Clinton ahead of me turning a corner to the side of the ship opposite of the one where we saw the darkness and my heart sunk when I saw
him stop and back up a slightly.I swam pass him then saw something I still have trouble describing.I saw through a hole in the ships hull something
white. It was moving and it had an organic texture. As what I was seeing fully sunk in the white was replaced with an glass like black that still had
Organic implications to it's texture.I backed down into the hallway an looked looked over my shoulder to Clinton who had an expression that can be
described as dead silent.I began to radio Milton and Flint unable to think of anything to say when it started.I could feel myself being pulled towards
the hole.I realized the thing outside was being drained from the ship.
>>
>>17058707
I was pulled back down the hallway and I once again saw the hole in the hull of the ship.It was darkened but this darkness was diffrent. There was no
organic texture or any texture at all for that matter. It was pure darkness. The darkness of the inside of the monsters mouth. As I was about to pass
through torn hull and enter the creatures mouth something grabbed my leg.I turned to see it was once again Clinton holding me back.He had my leg in
one hand and held on to the edge of the hull tear with the other.I could see from his expression this was painful for him.He was grunting in pain yet
still gave out a reassuring smile when we both made eye contact. The sucking stopped and Clinton pulled us both back through the gap in the hull.We
Swam back down to the lower depths of the ship in a hurry with hands around each others shoulders.I notice as we swam Clinton was obviously injured.
I had to do most of the work.Eventully we reached the outside of cargo bay on the bottom deck and Clinton said he needed a break.I leaned him against
a wall and tried to radio the rest of the team.I got static from Johnson radio but when I called Milton and flint I heard them talking.I couldn't
make out what they were saying but when I spoke Milton quickly picked up the radio and responded. He asked me if I was alive and before I could answer
him he told me to shut up.I didn't understand and yelled that we needed backup. As I did I heard Flint yell "Oh shit" in the background followed by the
sound of a massive splash of water. Then the two of them screaming followed by the sound of an electrical sound that I've come to accept as the radio
shortcircuiting. This was followed by Clinton and I staring at each other in silence.

"Sir, they've breached the walls."

The logistics officer alerted Minister of Defense; the last warning for mankind.

"This is it chaps," the Minister sparked a cigarette.

The creatures, hellish spawn crawling on all fours, started picking up their pace. Each one more menacing than the other as they sprawled over one another over the great wall of Britain.

The wall was built to keep the Whites out. An ancient relic that lasted epochs, lasting as far back as the end of the Cold War. The Minister's bodyguards rushed outside what was then the last defense point -- a gathering of what would be mankind's final stand.

They fired up their particle cannons -- yet the soldiers knew this was it. They held their positions anyway.

"Full force; free fire."

The shots spewed from state of the art artillery. It delayed the decrepit monsters but made no real impact.

"Sir, they are quickening their pace."

The Minister heaved and took another inhale, "Give 'em all we got -- I'll be damned if this doesn't stop 'em."

More and more kept scrambling over -- the numbers unknown even to the most skilled logistic officer.

Distant cries became sheer wails of agony piercing the guardsman. Stricken of terror the military personnel outside the Ministry Building fled for their lives.

"Sir, we have casualties -- our men are fleeing their posts."

He blew out a long drawn out puff of smoke.

"Sir? What should we do? Sir?"

He eventually walked outside the building, as if accepting fate's calling.

"Sir! What do we do!! Run for your lives"

The rest of the personnel within the building fled -- static left on the intercoms.

"... *bzz* *bzz* *bzzzzzzzzzzzz* ..."

He drew his last pull from the cigarette, walking closer to the Whitish wretches bolting towards him.

We floated in the flooded ship waiting for nothing as our air ran down to nothing. With Milton and Flint likely dead and having no idea where
Johnson is I told Clinton we needed to think of something fast.He turned to me and said "I'm don't think I can make it on my own John",marking the
first time someone on our team used my first name.I couldn't look him in the eye.I turned to search the flooded chamber in vain hope of finding
something that could help us in our desperate situation.I saw nothing but the rotting green-white bones of the dead crew around me.I picked up one
of the skulls and held it in my hands, wondering what happened to these people. Was it the creature outside that sank this ship or was it something
else.As that thought crossed my mind what I can only describe as a vision flashed before my eyes.
>>
>>17062804
I saw a man.I knew somehow the skull I held in my hand belonged to the man.I saw him standing at a table well another man,who seemed to be captain of
this ship, spoke to both him and a several others in attendance. The vision was silent, people moved their lips as if to talk but no words came out.
Somehow though I knew what they spoke about. The spoke of how the ship they were on.The one I was currently trapped in,was lost at sea.It had been
lost for several days. They had no food or fresh water and had not eaten for several days. They were going hungry. An argument seemed to breakout
between the captain and several people in attendace. As this happened though the vision switch to a different and far more gruesome scene. The man who's
eye I was seeing through walked the halls. He stopped suddenly and peered around the corner as if afraid. What both he and I saw was revolting.A
fellow crew mate, one from the earlier flashback, was kneeling before the blood soaked body of the captain. It was clear the man was feasting on the
Captains corpes. As this happened the cannibal looked up.Even though there was no noise in my vision I can tell he said nothing. The protagonist of my
Vision and the cannibal just stared at each other in silence. As they did there was a fade in to another gruesome scene.
>>
>>17062806
>>17062804
The host of my vision and his cannibal accomplice were in what seemed to be a bunk room filled corpses. The two were both hard at work pulling organs
out of their fellow crew mate to eat.The door to the room opened and they turned to it as the scene switched one more time. This time both the man
who served as point of view the cannibal accomplice were tied up in different corners of the cargo bay I was trapped in.The POV man turned to the
door and saw his sane former crew mates who had evidently apprehended the two close the door.He busted out of his binds and ran to the door trying to
open it.They had obviously locked it.He pounded against the door and scratched it till his fingernails broke of and bled. When it became obvious
that wouldn't work he turned to look at the room he was on.The cargo bay was filled with the bloody corpses of his victim that were left there to rot
with him.I could tell he was hungry.Yet he walked over the still somewhat fresh corpses and stood before his former partner who sneered and backed
further into the corner knowing his fate. Before I could see what happened next the Vision ended. As it did I realized I was standing in front of
clinton. He had a stern, angry look in his eyes. But underneath that I could see fear.He knew what I was about to do.
>>
>>17062833

I grabbed his neck and held him against a wall.He punched my mask but his hand was obviously injured from saving me earlier.I grabbed the tube
connecting to his air tank and pulled it.I saw water fill the inside of his mask.He went limp and fell to the ground.I took his tank and hooked it
up to mine.By my calculations this air should be enough for me to reach the surface. As I exited the room I looked at clinton's face one last time.
He was leaning up against a wall. His mask began to crack and I could see a look of anger on his face.Underneath though I could see hurt. Not until
now though when I remember my actions do I feel the pains of guilt and sorrow over them.

anD SAITAMA CAME AND KILLED THEM
>>
>>17062842

I rushed up to the top deck.I located one of the holes in the ships hull and peered outside of it.There was no sign of the creature.I swam up to the
top of the ship and peered around expecting something to leap out and attack. There was nothing.I was alone in the deep.I swam up towards the surface.
As I did the water seemed to grow darker the higher I got.As I was only 20 or 30 feet form the surface I looked back down and saw something that
made the cold blooded demeanor I gained from that strange vision melt away and replaced them a renewed sense of impending doom. The water below me was
dark.Far Darker than it should of been. What ever I was seeing wasn't solid although it was getting there.I though I could be having a paranoid
delusion until something happened that confirmed my feeling of dread. As the darkness became a solid mass of shadow an eye in the middle of it formed.
It was nothing like the eye of a creature you would expect in the deep sea.It was the eye of a man.White with a pupil that was somehow darker than
the rest of the shadows surrounding it in the center. It stared straight at me.I began to feel myself being pulled downward.I knew I was a dead man
at that moment. Then my radio for the first time in hours sounded off.
>>
>>17062968
It was Johnson. He said that a rescue helicopter had picked him up and they were doing one last sweep for survivors before returning to land.A ray
of hope lit up in me for the first time since this incident started.I looked above the surface and saw the helicopter hovering directly ahead of me.
I than looked to the depths below and stared at the shadow creature again as I pulled Clinton air tank off my back and busted off the top.Air came
Spewing out and it rocketed me upward to the surface.I broke through the surface and screamed over the radio for Johnson to pick me up.As I did I
saw a rope ladder drop down in front of me.I grabbed it and started climbing up.Well I did so I saw Johnson looking back down at me.He had a look
of worry that turned to horror seconds after we made eye contact.I turned to see what he was scared of and before I could something wrapped around
me.I was pulled off the rope ladder and back down into the water.I realized I had a tendril of some sort attached to me.I punched it and kicked it
and as it transformed. The tip of it split into two parts that slowly took the shape of arms.Than from between the two arms emerged a head and torso.
The form the tendril had taken was pitch black solid shadow like the rest of the creatures it had a distinct shape to it.I knew somehow it had
taken the form of Clinton. No,it was clinton.I could see the same look of rage and betrayal he had the last time I saw him.
The creature had brought him back somehow. He grabbed my neck and we started to descend. As I did I looked into the creatures eyes and saw what it
truly was made of.
>>
>>17062971
The pupil wasn't made of shadow but rather faces that sneered and twisted in a mix rage and sorrow. They were the faces of the betray.
Those who were killed by fellow mariners in a bout of ocean madness.I could see the face of the wrecked ships crew whom were cannibalized and many
others.I was made eye contact with the shade of Clinton one last time as I was pulled in.

That's where my story ends.I'm still underwater somewhere.I've spent hours swimming in all direction only to find darkness. There is no surface here,
nor is there a sea floor.I was afraid that my air was going to run out at first but I've since discovered my tanks are cracked and full of water.
I see things in the darkness sometimes though.Faces of the cannibal that ate the sunken ships captain and the man who's Point of view the vision came
through along with others.Although I've started to see other things now. From time to time I see images of that shipwrecked research vessel
and the surface above it.

I suspect a new investigation of it is going to be underway soon.

One of the the most disturbing things I've experienced was the time when I was waiting at a bus stop out in the woods near my hometown for a friend to give me a ride after my car broke down. Before they arrived a tow truck came to pick take my car to be impounded. The driver got out and asked me if I wanted a lift. The impound is on the side of town opposite of my house so I told him no thank you.He left but before he did he looked back at me with a weird look.Like he was scared of something.

About 10 minutes later I heard something in the woods behind me.It was a high pitched metal scraping sound.I was about to turn around and check out where the noise was coming from but I saw my friends car pull up.

He slowed before he pulled up and I could see him looking at where I was through the window.I walked over and got into the passenger side door. That's when the moment happened. He looked at me and said "Is that guy with you well pointing over my shoulder". I turned to look where he was pointing and I saw him.A man in sunglasses and a yello raincoat was a couple feet from where I was sitting. The creepiness of the situation was made worse when the man saw that we noticed him and he slipped behind the bus stop I was waiting at.I said no and my friend floored it out of there.

The most disturbing thing by far though happened the other night when I saw that same man peering through my window at night.

>posting the gates to the DUGA-1 array

I always thought there'd be so much potential for conspiracies and creepypastas from that.

>DUGA-1 was a transmitter designed to bounce waves off of incoming missiles, like the early warning system for western Europe
>literally nobody believed this because the signals were randomly generated and not evenly spaced clicks, plus the signal was so powerful it would 'punch' through other frequencies; Called the Woodpecker signal for that reason
>largest transmitter on earth, directly fed by Chernobyl plant
>Chernobyl plant not only malfunctions, it explodes and wipes out hundreds of miles of living area in Ukraine and Belarus, forcing mass evacuations, making the town unsafe to live in for at least 600 years
>Soviets never made a statement that the west did this, which they certainly would have if it was actually an early warning missile system
>Europe never attacked, which they would have if it actually was the EWS and they were seeking to give themselves a strategic advantage
>Soviets lump all the blame on the chief scientist, direct the media to destroy his life until he kills himself and thus absolves their own wrongdoing
>nobody is ever the wiser

There is creepypasta material in here everywhere. Who sabotaged the plant? What was the real purpose of DUGA-1? Was it an early experiment to somehow pacify people by exposing them to short bursts of radio waves on all frequencies for long periods of time?

Get to it, /x/

It was ages since the astronaut has seen earth. He was to be the first man to travel through to another solar system but when he awoke from
cryosleep he found that his ship was trapped in orbit around a what seemed to be something similar to a black hole but it didn't suck him in nor
did it push him away like a white hole would in theory.Instead it held him in place. He remained in a steady orbit around the anomaly. It had been
nearly a year in this state.

He should of starved but when ever you grew hungry enough he would be shocked to find fruits and jars of various milks
floating out of the core of the anomaly and into the airlock of his ship. After properly researching them and growing desperate enough he ate them.
They were delicious at first. But they quickly rotted and took on a taste like rotting meat.

He should of asphyxiated as his air supply ran out but for reason that would remain a mystery to him the ships scanners one day detected wind in
the void of space. It came from the anomaly. When he was down to his last breath he opened the podbay doors and allowed the gust of winds to flow
through the ship.He expected to die.He expected the winds to contain some dangerous bacteria that would eat through his lungs. But the air was so
fresh you'd expect it form a mountaintop.Soon though the winds flowing into the vessel started to carry a fowl stench like that of a rotting meat.

As he reached the 5 month mark of being trapped in orbit of the mysterious anomaly he laid down to sleep. He dreamed of the unlikely possibility
of being with his loved ones again. What should of been a sweet dream became a bitter nightmare as he awoke and realized that he would likely die
alone. It was almost certain that he wouldn't see his wife and daughter again. That's when the ships sensors when into overdrive.

Something was emerging from the void.Something massive and cylinder shaped. It was what appeared to be the surface of a habitable planet but rather
than being shaped like a sphere it was in the form of a massive tube that surrounded his ship.He worked around the clock studying the structure.
It had Animal and plant life on it in Addition to man made structure. He couldn't believe it at first but he began to realize that it was his homeland.
The surface of the structure had his hometown from back on earth and the surrounding country side.

He floated in space looking upon the familiar terrain. He could see his old fishing spot.He could see his daughter school. He could even see his old
farm he lived on.And on it he could see them. His wife and daughter were standing in the field behind the farmhouse. That's when he did it.He floated
down to the surface of the structure. The anomaly didn't hold him in orbit like his ship. The gravity got stronger as he got closer to the ground.
He knew once he was on the surface he wouldn't be able to get back up to the ship but he didn't care.

He landed in front of his wife and child and took his helmet off.The three grabbed each other and hugged. There were tears of joy in his eyes as he
kissed his wife. Her lips were sweeter then how he remembered them. But suddenly he pulled away from her.He stepped back.

For he tasted the faint taste of rotting meat.

Sunstricken, dehydrated, and on the verge of death, it was only then that I understood the true meaning of Old Man O'Leery's cryptic advice: "If you're going out into that desert, remember to bring a ladder with you."

Barney was hoping that the smell he had followed all this way was a new kind of animal. Instead, he stumbled upon a couple of people doing people stuff. 'Oh well,' thought Barney, as he bounded back off into the woods in search of more promising smells.

After spending the afternoon bending the collective will of humanity to His ineffable and unseen designs, the nameless deity was suddenly struck with the sense that there was something really pressing He forgot to do today. He decided it was probably just His imagination, but the vague sense of anxiety continued to haunt Him well into the bit of perpetual sunlessness that used to correspond to evening.

While attempting to nonchalantly twirl his handrolled cigar in his fingers to look classy, Xeleth, the Titan Sentinel of the Sepulcher of the Firstborn accidentally dropped it. Unfortunately there was currently a mortal encroaching upon this ancient and secret place, and they were supposed to be standing silent and unendingl vigil over this remote passage within the realm of the eternal, so picking it up right now would be beyond awkward. He stood stock-still, and just hoped nobody had really noticed. Most of the other Sentinels played it cool, but Riathah folded up her arms and looked away from him dismissively. She was the one he was trying to impress in the first place, and now it had completely backfired. Despondent, he silently brooded over whether he'd ever stop being a fuckup with the ladies. It was a nice cigar too.

Akiko stared out into the pouring rain at the mist-shrouded silouhette that loomed high above the skyline across the river. She had no idea what it was, or what its sudden appearance meant for her or the city, but some strange instinct compelled her to look onward in curiosity rather than fear. Suddenly, two spots of white light slowly yawed open within the titanic shadow, suggesting a creature slowly opening its eyes. These spots traversed the mass of this towering figure second by second until they came to rest in her direction, as if it had turned to look at her. The thing raised the unmistakable shape of an arm ponderously into the air and the sound of soft and low thunder rolled past Akiko. The creature was waving. She had never seen anything like it in her life, and certainly had no idea why it might be waving at her, yet she felt compelled to put aside her confusion and try to follow along with whatever this unique encounter entailed. She raised her hand out from under her umbrella, out into the cold of the downpour, and timidly waved back. What felt like ages of stillness passed, with only the patter of the rain on concrete to accompany it. Just as Akiko began to wonder if she'd done something wrong, the sound of low thunder came from far and behind her. She looked behind herself, and there in the far distance was another giant shadow just like the one in front of her, waving back at the first. Akiko went inside.

Enjoying the last remaining embers in my cigarette, I flick the butt to the ground, exhale and direct my views out towards the sea. I adjust my trilby as a collection of strange, gigantic bestial figures bounded towards me at a pace only they could maintain.

"Fuck me. I better have something up the sleeve of this trench coat..." I mutter as I decide the best course of action was to withdraw another cigarette and do fuck all as the beasts approach.

Suddenly, I am met with a sigh of relief as I withdraw my OverEdge 2000 deluxe beast-killing katana slips out of my trench coat sleeve. After many hours of edgy dialogue between myself and the beasts, I make my move, using super enhanced ninjutsu to destroy the beasts with sword magic as well as prove that the anime world is better than the real world.

I lay now, restfully with another cigarette dangling carelessly from my mouth as the blood of the beasts sinks into my underwear.
