Since they love worshiping demons, then why not?

My friends dad is a mason apparently. They say it's got nothing to with rituals/religion or anything like that. Maybe the lowers are kept in the dark about it?
>>
>>17026654
then why the requirement to have a belief in a higher power/god to join? there not a secret society. any one can join if they meet the requirements

its not like atheism is so common it would keep people out. there is no real reason to have a requirement in a belief in some sort of god unless there is a religious tie in some where.
>>
>>17026654
absolutely
lowers are purposely misguided with fake meanings for symbology and lied ablut the true reasons/meanings for their practices
>>
>>17026634
>Do top Freemasons really worship Baal?
No, Lucifer.
>>
>>17026634
Is masonry a front for the Illuminati or satanism?

From what I have read of masonry I get a lot of conflicting information. Some sources say they are a modern form of the ancient mystery schools from Greece and Egypt and that they are all about self improvement, raising consciousness and teaching sacred truths about the universe/god. Sacred geometry, hermetic principles, gnosis, philosophy all of those things do seem to be prominent.

Then there is this other side of masonry which makes them out to be devious deceivers, part of the NWO are all that.

How are we supposed to discern the truth? Are they good or bad?
>>
Maybe the higher ups..... I think they use a bunch of tials and stuff in order to weed people out

My grandpa told me he was starting to become a high level mason he ran around naked in the woods and drank blood out of a human skull.... i think he quit not to far after

The 3 major modern day Monotheistic faiths mostly demonized other deities when they gained more followers. Baal is associated with Fertility and Rain in Canaanite belief.

According to them it's a way for men to better themselves.
>>
>>17026634
no, if anyone worships demons it'd be the fanatical Christians that spend all their time demonizing everyone but themselves, in effect slapping the face of Jesus, who told them not to judge lest they be judged.. false Christians are loud, smelly creatures and even God despises them.
>>
>>17026668
you would only know this if you are a high level freemason. so are you? if not, your opinion is based on nothing but your own imagination.
>>
>>17026679
Now that I think about it, there was a former mason who wrote a book on the inner workings of the masons. He put it pretty clear that after some point he was subject to weird ass ritualistic shit that made him quit. Wish I could remember the name of the guy...

Molech the Owl.

Well considering Freemasonry originated in the Enlightenment, the theological theory for secular humanism in vogue at the time was Deism which is by definition a belief in a higher power divorced of religious pretenses. So no, a belief in God does not necessitate religious practices, especially in the context of the history of Freemasonry.

They worship Lucifer.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c2OXuXTkBNQ

“When The Mason learns that the Key to the warrior on the block is the proper application of the dynamo of living power, he has learned the Mystery of his Craft. The seething energies of Lucifer are in his hands and before he may step onward and upward, he must prove his ability to properly apply this energy.“
Lost Keys Of Freemasonry,” page 48 by Manly Palmer Hall 33°

"Lucifer, the Light-bearer! Strange and mysterious name to give to the Spirit of Darkness! Lucifer, the Son of the Morning! Is it he who bears the Light, and with its splendors intolerable, blinds feeble, sensual, or selfish souls? Doubt it not!" Albert Pike, Morals and Dogma of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, p. 321, 19th Degree of Grand Pontiff

Baal = hidden pagan god/demon
>>
1.) Baal [Ba'El] = Lord in Semetic Root Languages
2.) Freemasons require a belief in a higher power, but not a specific one
Some probably do, most probably do not.
They worship "The Great Architect".

Now answer me this:
Why didn't you just google the answer?
>>
>>17027945
Baal was an angel, his name hasn't changed... Like Lucifer, the light-bringing.
>>
>>17027944
Not true.
There is nothing hidden about Baal.
Baal, or Ba'el/Ba'El, is just a semetic root word that means "lord".
It's just a noun that becomes a proper noun when used in proper noun way.
Even the Jewish God is called "El", and the Arab word is "Al" as in "Allah".

I just realized a phonetic joke:
God is the Universes biggest Ba'llah [Baller].

Next time look shit up via academic sources, not conspiracy websites or magick websites.
Those other websites use wish-fullfilling or paranoia-fullfilling presumptions.

Mason's are decent people.

I met a lot of them and so far it just seems like a great fraternity. The god part (from what I get) is more of a belief in a greater good. They're about education and working together etc.

As far as that secret occultism stuff idk. They were formed while building a church.

Also stone work requires a lot of effort and precision which lines up with heir attitude toward self betterment.

I'd join if I could.

Plus they give a fuck about art/design.

>>
>>17032219
So, what's the deal with you guys? Why the degrees and such?
>>
>>17032258
Degrees are ranks. My degree is more or less one who trains incoming Masons and makes them feel welcomed and fully initiated.

You move up in degrees through time, sort of like tenure. Monetary contributions to a lodge also boosts your status.
>>
>>17032258
They're lessons. Think of it as a curriculum.

>>17032260
>Degrees are ranks.
Dude, stop with the lies. Ranks are ranks.
>You move up in degrees through time, sort of like tenure.
Skill and the candidate's choice are what cause progression in degrees.
>Monetary contributions to a lodge also boosts your status.
False.
>>
>>17032267
A degree in Freemasonry is a rank. This is common knowledge.
>>
>>17032268
It's common misconception. If you were a Mason, rather than a level 23 roleplayer, you'd know that.
>>
>>17032267
What sort of things are on the curriculum? What is the goal of the teaching?
>>
>>17032447
Moral lessons, mostly. It inculcates self-examination, and the degrees are stories which promote that in myriad form.
Ie. The Entered Apprentice degree (1st) is about how to learn, and to be a generally good chap in society. The Fellowcraft is about different types of learning (trivium, quadrivium) and how to apply them. And the Master Mason degree is about higher aspects of being, and coping with nature and one's place in it.

The other degrees have other such lessons, but being elective, are more to do with whatever the person wants to pursue.
Ie. Mark Master is about the importance of labour, merit, and being genuine. Holy Royal Arch is about theology and devotion to one's beliefs. Red Cross of Constantine is about archaeology and the importance of learning from history. And so on.

The goal is just to provide a framework for someone to learn how to better themselves (in the various aspects), so that they might be able to help better society on a neighbourhood level for each member.

Ex-military dude works with my brother at a car firm, he'd been on 4 tours I think? Anyway we had him over for dinner at one point. My mum being a tattoo artist asked him about his ink, just some standard military shit. He says he wants to get it touched up and maybe some new stuff. Anyway, a few weeks later they're talking about the sleeve, he says he wants this that, yada yada yada. But then I see the design on the transfer paper as he's getting inked. There's an owl on a branch with the freemason symbol in it's eye. My mum didn't even know what it was, assumed it was military.

Not really relevant, and I was looking on facebook for the guy but I have literally three friends, and he's not mutual with any of 'em.
>>

Exactly that. Or contact your state (USA/Canada/Australia) or country (everywhere else) Grand Lodge (which you can find here http://www.ugle.org.uk/about/foreign-grand-lodges )
Be warned, though, that's the framework you'll have to work with, so really it's all on you. But some lodges can be pretty shitty and make that hard.

I doubt they worship demons. From what I know about them they are pretty secular organization, recruiting the ambitious and powerful, into a organization based around success.

They do have rituals, which is not uncommon for such old and well connected organizations.

But I doubt its demon worship, religiosity is not common in these circles.
