No, they shouldn't because the video still has way too many weird anomalies that are left unaccounted. First the tire that a previous anon mentioned that detaches and reattaches at the 0:39 mark. Second the motion of the cars is just ridiculous. A cable, even if it is being pulled in on a circular reel, would still pull objects it attached to in a straight line.

It did pull them in a straight line. Straight up. The cable caught them at different balancing points and became entangled in different axles. That thing the tire does is definitely weird but I guess it probably was also tangled in the cable.
