last night (19/11/15) at about 10:20pm me and my bf saw a bright light in the sky, it fell in the sky and got brighter but suddenly disappeared, both of us saw it for definite but it happened so quickly we couldn't have got pictures. this happened in the north east of england, off the coast of Redcar. there's no recent news stories of shooting stars in this area, and it was way too bright to be one, it was more like the brightness of a firework but it didn't make any noise
ufo? missiles?

/pic unrelated

Oh fuck oh fuck. I saw something similar. November 18 around 630p hawaiian time. Bright light in the sky, high up, moved about 15 seconds before fading like it left the atmosphere. After about a minute, the same thing in a similar area of the sky. Kept watching for about an hour bc of curiosity, saw nothing. Thank you for posting this. I was just randomly popping in here unrelated and the fact you saw something identical is crazy.

This definitely wasnt falling though. Moving horizontal and way too slowly. Not moving that fast and was bright then faded and disappeared

we kept watching the sky but didn't see anything else, similar story to the Cali "navy missile" a week or two back, it fell in the sky for about 3 seconds then vanished completely
weird shits happening

Could be debris burning up on reentry. It kinda looks like a fireball fizzling out and falling. Its actually pretty common. I regularly see this happening in Arizona.

Have also seen about 2 years ago, group of about 7 of us were sat in the back of some flatbed truck in a car park and we all saw it, it flashed very brightly initially like a firework but got slightly duller, was there for maybe 40 seconds travelling very slowly across the sky (which made me think it was a long long way away) and then disappeared. This is in South East England, in Woking, Surrey.

did you ever find any other people/news stories that saw this?

If there were meteors being seen around you, it might have been a bolide, which is a meteor with unusual explosive potential. Wouldn't look like a shooting star at all.
