So, at this point, let requests commence. It'll most likely be slower since this is nighttime /x/, and that's fine. I'll be monitoring for requests and will reply when one is accepted. Wait patiently for replies and you'll most likely get one.

Is there a difference between the two sigils in terms of what they represent, or what results charging them will give, i.e. one for healing and one for luck, etc.

Second, I'm assuming charging either of these sigils simply implies focusing energy into or towards it

Third, my request is that the health of my lover improve and maintain at a fair and unworrisome level.

And yes, charging simply means intense energy focus-- you have that correct.

They are seperate in intent and purpose. The first is to improve my relationship with Hecate in many ways, and the second is to help a friend with a conflict he faces. Choose whichever you're more comfortable with.

Indeed she does. Hecate is known by a few prominent symbols, one of them being a torch she carries with her through the night. She knows all secret things, and has the key to every locked door.

Why Hecate instead of Eris? From a chaos perspective, it could work but what aspect of what Hecate represents made you prefer her?

Will charge first sigil. My request would be for Hecate to send me on the most beneficial path into the occult as possible. I had an experience with her in the past but was too scared to take what she was offering. Thanks.

So many reasons. Namely, without Hecate, I'd be nowhere magickally speaking. She's been my patron through the path entirely thus far.
Further, Hecate is typically much more caring than Eris, and is known for her kindness.
Hecate is still a chtonic deity, without encompassing pure chaos, as Eris does. So you'll get more consistent results by working with Hecate.
Further, Hecate aligns with me in a professional sense, as I'm a mortician.

I could continue on endlessly, but suffice to say, more or less, "Because that's who I choose to honor."

The one on the palm of your hand will be fine; given it's a sigil to promote a relationship with Hecate. The second one isn't as cuddly.

Instead, a better idea would be publishing the sigil in public places.

I need a job. I need to be able to provide for my family. I need to give them stability and security. Where I currently live is not a good place to find a career. Many would call it rustic and with these sorts of things I have no aptitude. As such it has been exceedingly difficult for me to acquire said job.

As I said, I will be charging both sigils regardless of what happens. Karma always remembers.

Some people believe so. However, from experience, letting others see a sigil charges it far easier.
Further, the whole thing about chaos magick is "if it works, it works." So, being that it works-- I'm not going to contest it.

Can I ask for more information here, from the OP or frankly anyone who has the knowledge, where can I learn more about sigils, magick, etc. I'm too skeptical to take it in a literal sense, but it is very fun and interesting to read about. Is there a general here I should check out?

On a sidenote, why must you meet at the crossroads? I've heard that in order to sell one's soul to the devil, one must meet him at the crossroads. Is this just a thing for gods/spirits/whatever? Whats the story there?

Try to keep in mind that all references to the devil, and demons is a biased vilification from the Abrahamic faiths to delegitimize and coax conversion from folks practicing the old faiths.

The crossroads, carry a metaphorical meaning. The crossroads of our lives, where we are forced to make decisions and choose a path. Sometimes it's nice to be able to stop and ask someone for directions for where you want to go.

Even if you want to write it off as self delusion, it needs to be acknowledged that the individual is working to communicate with their subconscious mind or "higher self" to get what they truly want.

Well, Hecate is a goddess that has always been primarily associated with three-way crossroads, mainly due to her triumvate nature (Mother, Maiden, Crone; while she holds dominion on sky, land, and sea.)
She was one of the pagan deities that was continually worshipped throughout Europe despite the Catholic church's presence, so eventually she was vilified as a devl or 'Satan', so to speak. Eventually the two just bled together so now Satan is associated with crossroad rituals.
