I wasn't particularly afraid of it. If you're really trying to fill up the grid, sometimes you want to end the dream once you feel you've moved it in the direction you're working towards. A lot of times he'll cause you to skip nights (dreamless) after you touch him though, which seems like a bad thing.

My favorite game.
I especially like Ambient music in the game.

Always wanted to play this, but ps2 emulators are shit. I own a ps2, but I can't find the game cheap.

I really think they nailed their atmosphere.
It really does feel like a waking dream. I love it.

I've also never jumped harder while playing a game and it's usually at the dumbest shit. I get so immersed in it even though the graphic are pretty primitive. I wish that there could be a sequel or a remake.

Wow. Back when /vr/ was newer, I remember when a group found out about and tried to track down these games. I was involved with early efforts, and was around to see Tong-Nou found.

I kind of stopped following up though so I had no idea about chu-teng. I'm two years late, but it is a joy to find that game now.

Used to emulate this like years ago. Had a lovely time with the game. It's really atmospheric stuff. If you're able to really get into it, it becomes an amazing experience. I don't have the files for it anymore, though.

I too remember looking for ages to find the ROM when I was in 7th grade. The website I found it on was some weird tribute site that had a download link buried five pages of reviews and stories about the game. Anyways, it's much easier to find now than it was years ago, IIRC it's on EmuParadise.

The music is great; it reminds me of Aphex Twin. I believe the composer was inspired by IDM music while making the soundtrack.

ePSXe is regarded as the best Playstation emulator. PCSX is a decent alternative, especially because it's Linux compatible and doesn't need the bios file, but it's generally inferior to ePSXe

Exactly. It's not a spoopy as people make it out to be, but it does a great job of emulating a dream. I want to play this game the next time I do acid, not only to say I played LSD on LSD, but also because I think I'd be a very enjoyable experience.

I would shill my favorite emu for Android but I doubt anyone ITT uses sticks and LSD should really be played like Resident Evil, on a largeish screen with good sound.

1. LSD is a PS1 Game.
2. It will work in a PS2 (good luck finding a hard copy of LSD though).
3. You can instead find it any ROM site as easy as finding Crash Bandicoot or Spyro and then use ePSXe.
3. PCSX2 (A PS2 emulator) is not "shit", you just need a half decent PC (by today's standards) and be patient and competent enough to configure settings for each game.

I've emulated it. Don't own a physical copy, though, so water looks trippier for me than it would on actual hardware.

Eh, it's fun for about 10 minutes, but then you realise that the world is tiny and fairly empty, and because of that, playing it for too long get's extremely repetitive.

You can have some accidental jumpscare moments, and some of the wiki musings on theories about the game are about as thought evoking as any japanese cult classic community's musings, so it has that.

If you want a good "walk around and explore shit" game, Yume Nikki and it's clones are far better.

LSD loses it's charm after about a week (IRL) of play.
