A ghostly nurse that appears in almost any hospital to help a patient while everyone else was busy
And my favourite, a small disabled child that died of leukemia and sometimes is seen playing in the waiting room at 3 am asking where the other children are (because pediatrics moved to other building)

My grandmother works as a custodian for a law office, sometimes I help her. She had told me that she doesn't like being there alone, that she thinks the place is haunted. I didn't believe her until one night. When you walk in there are restrooms immediately to the left and a door that leads to a office in the right. We call this room the green room because of its green carpet. Passed the green room is a small kitchen. In front of the entrance is a door leading to C&C law offices. there is a hallway that has two more restrooms and a door to another office, the hallway connects to the kitchen. My grandmother decides to mop the restrooms to the left of the entrance while I take out the trash in C&C and the kitchen. As I take out the trash in C&C I start to take out the trash in the kitchen. I'm wearing headphones, listening to a podcast as I work, but as I empty the trash in the kitchen and get ready to put a new bag into the can I hear what sounds like a young girl say something in a singsong voice, I hear it right in my ears. I can totally confirm that child labor laws are pretty much ignored unofficially. I started working the day I hit 16 and with my first job (lasting 4 years) and went through 4 general managers, who all were very different other than that they took great advantage of younger people. Probably 9/10th of the people I worked with in that time were underage (so many that they had a ton of legal issues installing equipment that required 18+), and all were taken advantage of almost to an extreme I would say. I even had one manager that went so far to fake our official hours and pay us on the side so he could give us shifts longer than 12hrs and more than 40hrs a week without getting in trouble from higher up. People like that are born for low-level management positions, and they're very good at making whatever they don't like (complaining to higher up, talking about unionizing, talking about this or that law, calling in sick when you're actually sick) a taboo. It's pretty sad when you figure that the only reason they do this is so that they don't have to work harder at making the employee schedule, I kinda want my late teens back.

Younger people are more protected, but they're also less aware of their rights. Scare tactics work well on them.

No. I wish. I worked overnight at a gas station for about a year and the only crazy thing I saw happen was a van full of Mexican dudes came in and started filling up. A couple minutes go by and a red car pulls up behind the Mexican dudes and two white guys hop out, one rushes the guy pumping gas and punches him square in the face. He's laid out. I've never seen anyone get ko'd in real life until now.

Other guy was having a scuffle with Mexican passenger, then as quick as that, the white dudes get back in their car and peel out. Mexican guy gets up, gets into his van and goes on his way as well.

I just watched in awe. The whole thing went by so fast that even if I called the cops, both parties would have been long gone by the time cops showed up.

My wife worked overnight at Walgreens (like CVS for those who know what that is) and she had weird shit happen pretty often. Nothing greentextable but I'll just list a few random things

Used to work night shift at a department store, 10PM - 7AM. After the store closed all we had was the emergency lighting, which was like every 3rd light or so.

So, we had lots of mannequins and some wheel chairs in back stock.

Long story short, myself and one of my co-workers put a mannequin in a wheel chair and quietly parked it in the center of an aisle near a department one of the over night ladies was at.

Screaming was hard, hilarity ensued.
