There is no single heaven or hell, just infinite dimensions higher or lower in comparison to one another. These were known as "Planets" in the Vedic philosophies (which are the oldest on the planet), realms, worlds. We now consider them dimensions, (although they could be similar to planets in a cosmological sense). It is believed passage from one Planet (or dimension) to another depends on the vibratory signature of your spirit or soul. You can't expect fish to live on land comfortably, they want to be in the sea. If they want to fly, they will need to change accordingly, get used to air, master land, leave water behind, and grow wings. That takes some time.

Humans have the capacity to evolve into our chosen dimensions (or "planets") as well and in particular have been gifted with the best possible physical vessel to achieve enlightenment and things to escape this "hell" known as life on planet earth in the 3rd dimension. It's important then, for those who want us to remain here, that we hate ourselves, hate our bodies, and do as much damage and devolution as possible, otherwise we might fly away.

Earth has tastes of both heaven and hell, depending on the life you've lived or have been blessed (or cursed) with. It's a mixed pallet here, which is why some consider it to be a planet intended for learning, and testing yourself or proving your worth to enter into higher order civilizations or planets (possibly through reincarnation).

Strangely enough, Rastafarians also believed that physical planets were more than meets the eye, and that this planet Earth is not a ball of dirt and water but a celestial realm. You have to use transdimensional (spiritual) technology, or evolve as a spiritual being to the point that you can incarnate on another planet.
