>>

Since the video does not exist, my best guess is that the video title (0101 0101 0000 0001) may be somehow be intended to transform the video code (JKnjGvPaITB) into something valid.

I don't see any obvious way, but I observe that the the decimal equivalent of the four numbers is 5 5 0 1.

5+5+1 = 11 = the length of the video id.

The 'V' in "?V=" is made uppercase and placed directly above the lowercase 'v' in the center of the id. Maybe that is not accidental.

Yes, the music is Chopin's Nocturne.

Must be a reference to Nocturne, Op. 55, No.1

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NONg06Pf0v8
>>
any idea of the initial music?
>>
>>15888838

The music in the video seems to be Chopin's Nocturne, Op.27 No.1. (One of 21 solo piano pieces in his Nocturnes.)

The title may reference Noc(turne) Op.55 No.1.
>>
and the noise during the video after the "logo" ?

I measure the peak at 277Hz = C#(4).

I can find Op 27 in C sharp, but not Op 55.

it's a coincidence or not?
>>
>>15888871

i doubt it, but i'm not sure how it all fits together.

i don't know what "+10" means. If it means Opus number of the Nocturne in the video + 10, it could be referencing 27+10b=29 or 27+10=37.
>>
>>15888878

Op 29 is Impromptu, not a Nocturne.
Op 37 is a Nocturne

It's a video URL, however no such video exists on youtube.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NCAUPuXzn4U is the URL of this video, look at 0:18, there is ?v= above the 'code'
Therefore, at some point, there will be a video, or may already be a video, with the URL of a video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JKnjGvPaITB

It seems most likely that the "noc" in "noc+10" references Chopin's Nocturnes (his collection of 21 solo piano pieces), given that the music in the video is Nocturne Op. 27 No.1 in C sharp minor. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nocturnes,_Op._27_%28Chopin%29#Nocturne_in_C-sharp_minor.2C_Op._27.2C_No._1

The tone heard after the music is 277Hz = C#.

The binary strings in the title in decimal are 5 5 0 1. Op. 55 No.1 is another Nocturne.

The partial YouTube url shown and spoken in the video does not link to an actual video. Such ids are generated after uploading a video - maybe randomly, maybe from the hash of the reencoded video. The video probably wasn't deleted or there would be a notification of that. Either it has been encrypted somehow, or (less likely) he made a mistake entering the code.

I don't know what the "+10" could mean, and there could be other clues in the video.
>>
>>15889314

Ah, I think I understand the +10 now. I will try to decipher the code.
>>
>>15888888

>>

>>
>>15889343

Look at the list of Nocturnes:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nocturnes_%28Chopin%29

Op/No/Key

27 1 C# minor [music played in video; tone after music was C#]
27 2 Db major
32 1 B major
32 2 A major
37 1 G minor
37 2 G major
48 1 C minor
48 2 F# minor
55 1 F minor [5 5 0 1 referenced in title]
55 2 Eb major

There are 10 in this list ("noc+10"). If there were one or two more, it would be perfect, since there are 11 letters in the video id. It also doesn't quite fit that 55-1 is referenced and not 55-2.

Skipping the 'v' (which seems to be singled out by the placement of the 'V' above it), these 10 Nocturne keys could be the cipher:

E.g., using a simple shift cipher:

JKnjG v PaITB
+ CDBAG GCFFE

= LNojM v VcNYF

This doesn't yield a valid video url, but my interpretation or method may be off.

>>
>>15889435

Chronologically, he composed one more piece after Op. 27, and around Op 32 (in 1837).

27 1 C# minor [music played in video; tone after music was C#]
27 2 Db major
(P2No8 - C minor [composed same year as Op. 32])
32 1 B major
32 2 A major
37 1 G minor
37 2 G major
48 1 C minor
48 2 F# minor
55 1 F minor [5 5 0 1 referenced in title]

Then the cipher is: CDCBAGGCFF or CDBACGGCFF
And the title is consistent with the +10. Still, it's one letter short, so I think the V has to be ignored.

I tried these codes with a simple shift cipher, but neither video id is valid.

(The way I'm working it, J+A=J, J+B=K, J+C=L, etc.)

JKnjGvPaITB
+ CDCBA GGCFF
LNpkGvVgKYG

JKnjGvPaITB

Perhaps doing this in reverse, and unshifting the letters would work.

ugh. so he went to all that trouble, and in the end only used a basic caesar cipher with a left shift of 3 (C). where's the fun in that.

The 0101.., noc+10, and the Nocturnes music, were all red herrings. even the tone was misleading (C#, not C). it would have been easier to solve this one without any distracting "clues".

This and the previous one may be referencing the SS Sultana. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SS_Sultana

>Sultana was a Mississippi River side-wheel steamboat that exploded on April 27, 1865 in the greatest maritime disaster in United States history. An estimated 1,800 of her 2,427 passengers died when three of the boat's four boilers exploded

>On April 26, the Sultana stopped at Helena, Arkansas, where photographer T.W. Bankes took an amazing shot of the grossly overcrowded vessel.

>The official cause of the Sultana disaster was determined to be mismanagement of water levels in the boiler, exacerbated by the fact that the vessel was severely overcrowded and top heavy.

I noticed that if the Sector statuses are written in binary with STABLE=0 it looks like this:

0101000

Look familiar? If you append the System number:

0101000 00010

= 0101 0000 0010

The videos are numbered in binary: "0101 0101 0000 0###"

I'm not sure how this helps. Just an obvservation.

Or if System and Pressure are statuses and ALIVE=1:

1 => SYSTEM 00010 ALIVE
(0) => [missing line]
0 => PRESSURE WATERTIGHT STABLE
0 => SECTOR 1 STABLE
0 => SECTOR 2 STABLE
0 => SECTOR 3 STABLE
1 => SECTOR 4 PRINCIPLE OF FLOODING
0 => SECTOR 5 STABLE
1 => SECTOR 6 SIGNAL MISSING
0 => SECTOR 7 STABLE

corresponds to this video's title
>>
>>15899305
>THERE'S ANOTHER MOTHER TO SLEEP HERE

I don't understand this, but it could be a clumsy English translation (like DECEASED instead of DEAD, and PRINCIPLE OF FLOODING).

"There's another sleeping mother here"?

Maybe a stretch, but maybe "another sleeping mother" means another dead system (absent from line 4). Then the problem is determining the System number. It has 5 digits, and there were 5 spoken letters. Maybe they are related.
>>
>>15899468

then again, i just realised the system and sector statuses were presented in the video on separate pages, so there might not be a missing line.

We are trying to solve video #4:

>>15899305

We've determined that LIOUY (spoken in the video) is a short-hand for the phrase "Why do you not answer my question?" (once used to save on the cost of sending telegrams).

However, there doesn't appear to be a question to answer. The meaning of the text is a mystery.

The English is a bit off, so something might have been lost in translation in the sentence "THERE'S ANOTHER MOTHER TO SLEEP HERE". Perhaps it is intended as a question (i.e., where is here?)

Ok so how do we know our codes are correct? Couldn't the uploader just be randomly posting new vids?
>>
>>15900844
decoding the first video led to an already uploaded video that could only be viewed of you know the url, clearly showing intent for people to figure it out
>>
>>15900860
Has the uploader posted here or otherwise made himself known? Like, do we know who's doing this or is it all OP?

00033 & 01090 where BORN from 00010

NOW:

00010 to 01090 = 1080 (?)
>>
Noc stay for Non Official Cover?
>>
>>15906567

The sentence in the video was:
THERE'S ANOTHER MOTHER TO SLEEP HERE

I can make this slightly creepy anagram (with 2 H's left over):

THERMOSTAT ERROR. NO SLEEP - TEEHEE!

or (with T and E left over):

THERMOSTAT ERROR. NO SLEEP - HEHEHE!

it's the longest word that can be made with those letters, and the steamboat disaster (links to which are hinted at by some clues) was caused by exploding boilers.

I'm almost out of ideas for a solution to #4.

It seems very unlikely another video id is encoded in the text as there'd be no obvious way to distinguish upper and lowercase letters. So as in #2, it seems we're expected to repond with a comment to advance. We are asked to answer the question (meaning of LIOUY), but there seemingly is no question.

Perhaps it relates to previous clues.

It hasn't been noted previously, but the response in #3 (to the comment in #2: "O operator give me number n") was something like "Hello world. Helen wait"

The original Miss Susie song was:

Mary had a steamboat
The steamboat had a bell
Mary went to heaven
And the steamboat went Toot Toot.

A later variation was:

Helen had a steamboat,
the steamboat had a bell.
Helen took some dynamite
and blew the bell to Hell–

O operator,
Give me number nine.
If it doesn’t answer,
give me back my dime.

These were combined in the video:

OHHELENHADASTEAMBOAT
THESTEAMBOATHADABELL
WHENHELENWENTTOHEAVEN
THESTEAMBOATWENTTOHELL

Preceding it with 'Oh' and changing lines 3-4 to:

Helen took some dynamite
and blew the bell to Hell–

There were 22 zeros following this. We encoded the next 22 characters from the rhyme:

'OOPERATORGIVEMENUMBERN'

using the same cipher and posted it as a comment on the video. The link to video 3 was posted here. We decoded it:

m2HelloAfworldQVheleny2I76waitY

= video #4 id and "Hello world helen I wait"

Helen may be key, but I still can't see how to proceed.

i assumed the video author chose the name 'noc' because of his fondness for Chopin's Nocturnes, which he played in the videos.

LIOUY has a specific meaning ("Why do you not answer my question?"), but LIAUY doesn't as far as I know.

Helen might referr to Helen of Troy, or them mother of Constantine, or pretty much every helen ever.

LIAUY could be right. It's so hard to understand with the static and the shitty sound.
>>
Has anybody thought these clues can be applied to older videos and then it unveils another video?

good idea

i have just posted "JLYHPHEDFNPBGLPH" on video #2

>>
Just read the whole thread. Idk if there's a new thread about this up, didn't see one in the catalog, but in the 4th video, the voice definitely says LIAUY. ...I just have no idea what it means.

I'll try using those letters in conjunction with the information in the video to see if there's anything I can figure out, I'm just shit at code. :(
>>
Isn't it kind weird that the line cut of at n? I mean what's the point. Did he run out of 0s?
>>
Can someone explain the situation atm?
>>
>>15912084

I checked for cryptograms and it's fucking impossible. LIAUY alone could stand for:
THING
COULD
NIGHT
AFTER
THEIR
ABOUT
WOULD
FIRST
CONTE
ASKED
WATCH
BEING
THINK
WITHE
MIGHT
FOUND
INTER
THOSE
STAND
VOICE

After the first night, the thing would be about. Conte and Withe asked their watch guard about voices. Standing and being alert, they think they could have found the mighty Interthose.
