This is a photograph of Tara Calico, a young woman who went missing after she rode her bike to her neighbours house. A van was driving suspiciously around her neighbourhood at the time. Later on a similar van dropped this photograph of her and another boy who had gone missing bound and gagged in the back of a van.

Theories on what happened to her, /x/?

it was human smugglers in south america if there still alive there probably in a rio underground brothel serving men all day to get high on the drug there owners got them addicted to so that hey wouldn't fight back or escape because they would be jonesing for a fix the next day. its not illumanati or rich dicks doing it for fun though there likely dead along with any of the others in the picture

She was rendered unconscious from the blows to the head. Then undressed, probably raped, but before her attacker left, he needed to make sure she was dead. Evidently, she had been already dead for a while, because the wound to her heart did not bleed significantly. Then redressed.

In December of 1924, two crewmembers of the S.S. Watertown were tragically killed while cleaning a cargo tank. A seemingly harmless, routine job turned deadly when gas fumes overcame the two men: James Courtney and Michael Meehan. The ship was headed toward the Panama Canal from New York and it was tradition to bury sailors at Sea.

But this was not the last the remaining crew members were to see of their unfortunate shipmates. The next day, before dusk, the first mate reported seeing the faces of the two men in the waves off the port side of the ship. They remained in the water for 10 seconds, then faded. For several days thereafter, the phantom-like faces of the sailors were clearly seen by other members of the crew in the water following the ship.

On arrival in New Orleans, the ship's captain, Keith Tracy, reported the strange events to his employers, the Cities Service Company, who suggested he try to photograph the eerie faces. Captain Tracy purchased a camera for the continuing voyage. When the faces again appeared in the water, Captain Tracy took six photos, then locked the camera and film in the ship's safe. When the film was processed by a commercial developer in New York, five of the exposures showed nothing but sea foam. But the sixth showed the ghostly faces of the doomed seamen.

The negative was checked for fakery by the Burns Detective Agency. After the ship's crew had been changed, there were no more reports of sightings.

As Russian troops penetrated the soaring Vanch mountains of the Pamirs in pursuit of the White Army soldiers in 1925, they heard stories from the local people of "Beast-men" who lived in the higher reaches. The soldiers had found footprints and other evidence of manlike beings. Then, one day, they shot one.

The Red Soldiers had fired into a cave where they thought the Whites were hiding. To their surprise, a wild, hairy creature ran out, crying inarticulately, and was killed instantly by the blazing machine guns. Looking at the corpse, the leader, Gen. Mikhail Stepanovich Topil'skiy, first thought it was that of an Ape. "It was covered in fur," he said. "But I knew there were no apes in the Pamirs, and moreover, the body looked far more human than apelike, indeed, fully human." On closer examination, however, their medical officer declared otherwise: the creature was *not* a man. But what was it? Could the wild thing they had shot have been the Snowman?

The corpse, that of a male, was about 5 1/2 feet long and covered with dense grayish-brown hair except for the face (there were a few straggly hairs on the upper lip), ears, palms, knees, and feet was coarse and thickly calloused. The face was dark, with dark eyes, a heavy, sloping brow, prominent cheekbones, a flattened nose, and a massive lower jaw. Although the teeth were quite large, they seemed to be those of a human. The creature had a broad, unusually muscular chest, but otherwise its torso was much like that of a man.

Unable to carry the body down the steep slopes, the soldiers covered it with a pile of stones.

OP I have some inside information on the Tara Calico case, I'm an investigator for the center for missing and exploited children. I came upon this case in looking through cold cases and this one particularly interested me. I investigated sorted through the evidence and started talking with the parents and other sources. My leads were pointing towards a group called "the finders" it's a cult. Anyways I was told by my lead investigator to terminate my investigation because it is an ongoing case that is under the jurisdiction of another federal agency, I turned over all evidence and that was that.

>discovering footprints in the snow leading from the edge of the forest to the farm, but none leading back.

>hearing footsteps in the attic and finding an unfamiliar newspaper on the farm.

>the house keys went missing several days before the murders, but none of this was reported to the police.

>two-year-old Josef was rumoured to be the son of Viktoria and her father Andreas, who had anincestuousrelationship.

>Six months earlier, the previous maid had left the farm, claiming that it was haunted; the new maid, Maria Baumgartner, arrived on the farm on 31 March, only a few hours before her death.

there is so much stuff in this..but
it really looks like there was one person more on the farm minimum since maybe a year before it happenend..
like the homeless guy behind the walla which we here of sometimes till today.
i would say Maria noticed him instead of thinking it was haunted and then he killed them all and ..thought a few days about what to do next and vanished into the woods..why does he not took the money ? a homeless guy with money would be suspicious even if they catch a homeless guy without money or a trace they couldn't hold him long.he must be intelligent in some kind if he lived there for so long..maybe he got money what he stome from them from time to time..

other theory would be about the baby...someone loved the girl and when he realised wherw the baby is from he snapped.

Wut...

Not trying to be condescending or anything, but that was pretty obvious conclusion to come up to. The only mystery in that story is why the killer would go through the effort of dressing the victim again.

There's also the possibility of the killing blow being the knife through the chest. Her clothes absorbed most of the blood, and the killer decided to clean up the wound with the clothes she was wearing. Then the killer redressed her.

Either way, the killer's motive doesn't make much sense

I can't believe these babies haven't been posted here yet! Toynbee tiles, random tiles showed up set into the cement of sidewalks and the asphalt of streets with crazy messages. Some people have a hunch that it's a guy named Severino Verna, but they were all set into streets too close together in a temporal aspect, and too far apart on a spacial aspect for it to be just one person. They showed up ll across the US and I think some in Canada?

Another good one not posted here; the oak island money pit! So, some kid sees lights on his parent's land and goes to investigate it, like most kids do when they don't have internet or TV, yeah? So the next day he finds this place where all the trees have been cut down and shit, and there's a depression (pic relate) and he generally just is like YEAH THIS IS THE SHIT I WANT TO INVESTIGATE so he calls his buddies over and they dig around for a while. They eventually get bored and go do something else.
The eldest of the three kids later comes back with an excavation company and digs up this tablet that's in some weird fucking script, (I'll link a site that has a replica of the thing) and it translates out to "fourty feet below, two million pounds are buried".

Obviously, this kid is fucking elated so they want to keep digging even though they're already like 90 feet underground. So they don't end up find anythign but some gold flanking. A lot of people die, and they find the water table and flood tunnels. An entire family line came to an end, Conspiracies of freemasonry, Templars, and other shit came up, curses were thought up, and to this day nobody understands how or where that tablet came from.

You're all missing the real question.
How does a van "drop" a photograph?
Who was there to see it "drop" the photo?
Vans don't have hands.
>>
>>15058580
It was found under a van that had been parked there. No one saw who dropped it.
>>
>>15058591
I think my wording was imprecise here. To elaborate, the photograph was found on the ground in the parking lot shortly after the van left. It has not been confirmed whether the van had anything to do with the photo, or if the photo was even taken inside a van. Nor has it been confirmed that Tara Calico is indeed the girl in the photo; experts disagree on that. No one knows whether it was a hoax or real evidence of a kidnapping.

This case has been discussed extensively in true crime forums online such as Websleuths. I suggest googling for those threads if you're interested in more details.

The Voynich manuscript is a sort of manual that has been written in some weird language. A lot of people, including world war one and two code breakers, have taken whacks at decoding it but there's been no real progress so far; Even if someone has read the voynich manuscript, and has translated it, we could never be certain we're reading it correctly as the assumed creator, the only one who could even possibly know what it is or means, is dead. We assume it to have medical diagrams and herbal guides, but yet again, we can't be sure.

The Curse of Oak Island wasn't bad as a show documenting the owners of the land still trying to excavate it. They found some coconut fiber that they were able to carbon date with 95% probability as being 770 years old, this along with the fact that coconuts are not native to Nova Scotia, or really Canada in general supports the idea that some group of people, possibly even Templars, traveled there to hide something.

>down the trail a ways they see a bearded figure in a longcoat and tricorne hat

tsU8dTFl.jpg
68KB, 640x403px
In 1587, the English, led by John White and financed by Sir Walter Raleigh, made their second attempt at setting up a colony on Roanoke Island, which now lies just off the coast of North Carolina in the USA. The colonists disappeared, however, during the Anglo-Spanish War, three years after the last shipment of supplies from England. The settlement is known as “The Lost Colony,” and the fate of the colonists is still unknown.

It all looked so promising in the beginning. The settlers landed on 22 July 1587 and soon established themselves. John White’s daughter Eleanor Dare was pregnant and on 18th August she gave birth to a daughter, Virginia, the first English child born in the Americas. The colonists established friendly relations with one of the local native tribes, the Croatans, who were able to describe to them the politics and geography of the area, but the other indigenous peoples, the Secotans, who had fought against the settlers of the first Roanoake Colony, remained hostile and refused to meet with them. Shortly thereafter, colonist George Howe was killed by natives while searching alone for crabs in Albemarle Sound. Fearing for their lives, the colonists persuaded Governor White to return to England to explain the colony’s desperate situation and ask for help. White duly sailed for England in late 1587, leaving behind about 115 colonists. Unfortunately, the war with Spain and a lack of funds meant that White was only able to return to Roanoke Island three years later. White landed on 18 August 1590, his grand-daughter’s third birthday, but found the settlement deserted. His men could not find any trace of the 90 men, 17 women, and 11 children he had left behind, nor was there any sign of a struggle or battle. The cabins had been taken down, the livestock had vanished and of the people the only traces were two graves and a message: the word “Croatoan” carved into a post of the fort and three letters “Cro” carved into a nearby tree.

Was in an unsolved mysteries thread some months back and we came to the conclusion that the Villisca murders were connected to several other axe murders in nearby counties/states of the time, as well as being connected to the unsolved New Orleans axe murders a few years later.

Some possible conspiracy involving the father, his ex-employer who was a state senator and a few drifters and a possessed Reverend.

I'm pretty sure the guy is full of shit. Satanic cults have nothing to do with the case. And the other 2 photos not including OP's pic has not been released. I'm pretty sure that there have many things unreleased by the police.

The case will never be solved, and this is because the fact of the matter is that the chief of police and the entire police department have a high corruption rate in Belen, NM. The theory many locals believe is that Lawrence Romero's son,Lawrence, Jr., liked Tara but she had a boyfriend even so he and a few friends followed her the day of her disappearance and "accidentally" ran her over, they became afraid people will realize what had happened and had the help of his dad cover it up. Later on Sheriff Rene who was the one who claimed he knew who the killers or culprits were but said he needed a body to prosecute, but that was lie,Rene knew that he would never convict the boys bc Sheriff Rene has a few secrets of his own, that many of Lawrence Romero's friends helped cover.
>>
>>15066025
To add to that, I highly doubt that the picture is of Tara, but of some other girl and that the boy is not Michael Heatley but of David Borer. Then again it's all a theory.
