Bought a new router today and the oldest desktop in the house can't connect to it.
It's got a linksys wireless g wifi card and will connect to a guest network I created but will not connect to the WPa2 key I use. I've checked the key 10 times it just will not connect to it.
I've redone drivers and have no options left.
It's on Windows xp service pack 3
the card isn't compatible with wpa2

Not all drivers for XP support WPA2.
For WPA2 on XP, you need SP3, and a driver that's been updated for SP3's WPA2 support.
You could always config a special router just for the laptop in question. Set up a bridge between the main router and another one, then ethernet connect the laptop to the outer bridge router.
