My main problem is that when I play power expensive games my PC will randomly crash with a black screen and leaves the sound hanging in my headset with fans on 100%. I had a gtx580 when it first occurred and I replaced it with a 970, I also replaced my GPU from a 5xx watt to 750 with no difference. I noticed my ram was underclocked at 1333 instead of 1600 which fixed the problem for a while but it started happening again. Metro last light doesn't last 5 minutes without crashing and The Witcher 3 could go from 10 minutes to an hour. Hell it just crashed 20 minutes ago during a conversation. I don't know what the problem could be, it feels like my mobo as it's the only thing I haven't touched in years besides the RAM. my specs are:
Gigabyte 990fxa ud3 revision 1.0
Mushkin 2x4 GB RAM 1600
Evga gtx 970 acx 2.0
Silencer mk3 750w psu
It isn't a heating issue. Speccy reads <50C for all components. I feel completely lost in what the problem could be
TL;Dr my PC is crashing in a weird way and Google shows no resolution
reset bios to default settings?
That's the thing. The only BIOS settings I changed was the memory clock. But yeah, I'll try it.
Update your fucking drivers.
