Could someone who speaks Spanish translate this into Spanish?
You're cute, but giving you my number was a terrible idea, I don't know what I was thinking, and we don't even speak the same language so I'm not sure how this would work

Is that supposed to be said to a male or a female?
This is important, because that adjective must be inflected for gender.

Nevermind, I'll just give you both inflections.
If you're talking to a male: "Eres lindo, pero darte mi número fue una muy mala idea; no sé qué estaba pensando, y ni siquiera hablamos el mismo idioma, así que no sé cómo funcionaría esto"
If you're talking to a female: "Eres linda, ..." etc; the rest of the sentence is the same beyond the second word.
There's a whole novel in your post OP
Best of luck

oh shit thank you. it was to a woman. i am deeply indebted.
uh, it's for a friend. i will ask what the fuck happened lmao
Oh even better. It's for a friend who has a friend:
Nope. I was doorman / greeter at a church service. This whole wordless flirty thing happened, she danced in worship in the cool tropical breeze, she knew just enough English to ask for my number. I'm too easily charmed and flustered. Anyway she hasn't texted so It probably won't be nessecary but just in case
Was his explaination
Out of curiosity, I didn't think I'd get a response so I used a translator. How much did I fuck up?
Tú eres lindo (male here, I know. Whoops), pero, dándole mi número de teléfono fue un accidente. No lo sé lo que yo estaba pensando, y no hablamos el mismo idioma. la situación no puede trabajar.

The grammar is horrible, though a native spanish speaker probably can make sense of that.
It's funny how "terrible idea" gets translated to "accidente", which literally means "accident".
>la situación no puede trabajar
-9/10; that's syntactically correct but is not even close to meaning the same as "I'm not sure how this would work".

ahhah thanks. i wasn't sure how much of the english would be slang if properly translated, so I went with something that meant something close. I wasn't trying to translate directly.
-10/10 white person trying to speak spanish ahahhah
