Can someone help me simplify this equation?
6*x=2*x+32

Remember that what you do to one side, you have to do to the other. What you want to do is to put all of x on one side, and nothing else on that side besides x (isolating the variable. This is so that when you divide, you don't get weird stuff (x=x/3+32/6). So you subtract 2x from both sides to get 4x=32, then divide both sides by 4, to get x=8. To check, you can replace x with 8, and make sure both sides are equal.
