Hey this is difficult man
I'm trying
Bump for this thread, I can't do these questions either
Jesus Christ, this is giving me a headache.
I don't know organic chemistry, OP, but you also should consider that some around here might refrain from helping crazy people that talk to themselves.

Oh well. Just trying to get the thread bumped up. Anyway I seriously need help with these questions. It's an online test and I have to give them the answers until Sunday. This is why I'm so desperate
Apparently no one knew how to solve these questions. Can anyone at least tell me a site where I can get help??
Here's some short answers, pad them out yourself

Acidic medium protonates the C=O oxygen atom, making the carbon an easier target for the alcoholic oxygen to attack. Similar to pic in >>378328

Probably something to do with the SO4(2-) ions soaking up the H(+)s

41.394% = 65.38 units (1 Zn atom)
32.931% => 51.997 units (about 3 oxygens)
22.813% => 36.0 (3 carbons)
2.872% => 4.53 (4.5 hydrogens)
work out the rest

Thanks alot for helping me! I am extremely grateful.
But the problem is: there were 24 questions about all topics in chemistry and each group would have to answer 6 of them.
To my extremely bad luck, we got the organic part. I have never had an organics class in my life, so I am pretty much a burden for my group. I really do need to answer these questions, or else we won't pass.

Sample C is homogenous b/c narrower bell curve. Then divide total mass by monomer mass

I can't give you a good answer for this, but I'm assuming the aryl and glycol substituents are not easily broken down. Alpha hydroxy carboxylates may be an easier weak point; the methyl group may also stabilize the cleavage point if a radical mechanism is used.

Meaning it makes sense from a theoretical point of view? For it to be biodegradable, bacteria have to be able to consume it. From what you explained, I believe it doesn't work, because it will become more stable.

Nevermind actually. The answer is, it forms an anhydride
