Time Check-In Terminal Help

all right, didnt know where to really ask this but id figured this board might be of help

so this fucker has been giving me trouble all week. Im trying to do a favor a for a family memeber who runs a restaurant and she asked me if I try to reset this fingerprint check in terminal. She fucked up somehow by erasing her admin credentials and now she's locked out from it. I tried all sorts of shit, downloaded software, opened up the hardware, etc., but no dice. This thing is weird, its a really basic ass terminal, but weird. when i hook it up to a computer it just simply recognizes as a "fingerprint module usb device". The weirder thing is that when i try to connect it to the software that supposedly is suppose to help me reset this thing it wont connect with the device.

if anything, could anyone please guide me to the right board/website to ask about this? I really wanna get this shit solved already, its been bugging the fuck out of me.
