so I have a problem about determining the CFU/ml of my sample. My professor gave a formula to determine cfu/ml which is colony count/ (total dilution of tube X amount plated). We used two plates for every serial dilution. I dont understand if I should multiply the total dilution of tube (1/10^-x) to the amount plated (1 dilution is plated on 2 plates) since the "amount plated" was defined as "the amount of dilution used to make the
particular pour plate or spread plate" which would be 1. What do?
