OK new to Walmart, new to meat dept, and feel really lost when it come to the TC70 and the Telxon. Problem is the guy explaining it has a real hard time staying on topic (needs meds I think) and I was wondering if I could get one of you Walmart geniuses to explain the process for making labels for the bins, sell-by dates and the cvp. All under the My Productivity screen, I think, but bouncing back and forth from backroom tool, salesfloor and something else If I remember right. Would really help my brain out, if someone would start from the beginning, Im totally lost. Sorry so long, TIA
It's basically a smartphone type device with apps.
The apps on the phone simply are the front end that connect to the s.m.a.r.t. system and store's inventory and all that shit.
Just have to be familar with simple concepts like shelf caps, on hands, outs, item location and shit like that.
Usually you as an associate only have to be familiar with one or two apps that you get proficient with. What you guys do in Deli/Meat is very different from what people do on the salesfloor. You got to get them to show you exactly what you'll be using day in/day out. I been at Wal-Mart for 10 years as an associate and never had to mess with cvp and sell-by-date's (even though I worked grocery).

Just had an idea , you should write something like a workers guide to Walmart , pitch it to the company and see if you can make some cash. The problem with big companies like that is usually there are way too many bosses and they all tell you different shit. It's just a thought.
