Hello. For some reason certain PNGs appear with a black background in Windows Explorer on Windows 10 for me, it does not happen for all PNGs. Pic related, in the thumbnail there is blackness but not in the preview. I have downloaded my graphics card's latest drivers and rebooted my computer. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I think it happens with compressed PNGs.
When PNGs get uploaded to an image host, these sites compress the image.
Upload the a .PNG that appears like that to zippyshare so I can look at it. Upload the file as a zip file.

Will Mixtape work fine instead? I don't trust Zippyshare.

sure any site is ok, just make sure to upload it as a .zip.

I'm viewing the file on Windows 7.
Hmm, PNG file compression must not be it. I used to have that issues with really compressed PNG files.
What operating system are you on?
I will have to look up more information on this issue.

As I said in the OP, Windows 10.

Did you upgrade from a previous version of Windows or did you perform a clean installation of Windows 10? I remember having issues with the UI/Explorer after upgrading Windows. I later just did a clean installation of Windows 10.

Clean install.

try opening disk cleanup (type disk cleanup in search) and delete thumbnails to force windows to redo them
OP here, will try these once my computer recovers from a completely unrelated issue.
