I'm trying to get some work done but all of a sudden my Casio keeps rounding my answer up to 1. I suppose something happened when I dropped it on the floor and some buttons got mashed.
I'm doing relativistic mechanics so I get answers that are very close to being 1 very often, so my calculator gives wrong answers all the time. I have failed repeatedly to fix the problem. pls halp I have no idea what I'm doing
And the funny thing of it all is that I'm doing relativistic mechanics but I can't fix my fucking calculator (facepalm)

If the first number is correct, then also the second. A calculator can only handle around 10-12 significant digits. If your number is smaller than say 10^(-10) and you subtract it from 1 (or some other big number) then the two numbers will be aligned, and the subtrahend will be rounded to 0, so the result will be 1.
Just write the result as 1 - 6.95 10^(-13) instead of 0.999999999999305.
I'm still getting 1.
sorry I missread. i understand what you mean now. sorry english isnt my first language
