I found it more silly than dark and enjoyed the show because of the story not the violence I started it and ended up getting sucked in wondering how this weak little weirdo was gonna end up on top.

On that note, Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo is the same, but the opposite, being an entirely different kind of "interesting and weird", and anything but serious. I couldn't appreciate it enough when I first saw it, but now it's hilarious, smartly satirical, and full of references I get more.
