bought one of these at ikea for $100, had it about three days, and I can't sit in it for more than a few minutes before I feel all the nerves in my lower back hurting. I don't generally have LBP or anything and have good posture, it's just I've always had a tough time finding a good seat. Threw out my old office desk chair because it would kill my hamstrings after a minute of sitting on it.
I need a good inexpensive chair from somewhere with a good return policy in case I don't like it, or if a chair is really good but pricy, at least a good return policy (I've heard good things about herman miller office chairs but goddamn they are pricy and idk how they are with returns)
If you have a chair you can vouch for, please give me recs. I'm at wits end just trying to find something I can sit in for more than an hour without needing an icy hot pack afterward.

Well, that's a tough request without knowing exactly why you have these issues. I would suggest something with an adjustable lumbar support though.
The Ikea PoƤng is one of the worlds most comfortable chairs in its price range, and other chairs give you hamstring pain? I would suggest you go see a relevant doctor, that doesn't sound right to me.
I use this one at work (programming 8-10 hours a day) https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000Q5XTE8/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. It was so good I bought one for home as well. Mesh really is the way to go since it conforms to your back and how you sit.

Looks like you have bought one of the many copies of Artek chairs. Original Artek is unfortunately rather expensive brand.
Have you thought about a decent rocking chair? I think Ikea sells those too.
