This is a long shot, but can anyone translate this German cursive? This is one of the 'souvenirs' my grandfather brought home from World War 2 and I'd very much like to know what it says.

My family spent months on deceiphering just a few old letters in Sütterlin. The only thing I could read on first glance was "Grüße von Vati und Mutti" -> regards from daddy and mommy.
Not impossible, but tedious as fuck unless you are 80+. If you speak German, there are a few resources you can use, but the site was obviously designed by fucking idiots:
