What torrent client does /wsr/ recommend? Why?

rtorrent is undeniably the best (most stable, most features, and most importantly, IT'S FUCKING STABLE unlike everything else)
qbittorrent if anything else
>why?
because they are better than anything else except deluge is better for torrent racing which you aren't trying to do (peering is more aggressive in initial download, so you upload more data, which only matters in private trackers where you are also on a gigabit connection or seedbox and autosnatching the torrent files). Otherwise, deluge is too unstable for long term seeding
on the normie end of things, qbittorrent also has a built-in search engine functionality for a lot of popular torrent indexers so you don't have to visit their malware-ridden ad-infested sites (although with ublock origin this isn't really an issue in the first place).
tixati/transmission are runners up in the same way that edge/brave are runners up to chrome and firefox
Go with qbittorrent, Tried, true, FOSS and tested.
I use qbittorrent. No real issues with it, and it's an open source project that gets regular updates (though not too frequent that you're constantly having to download new versions). There's other FOSS clients out there, but I really like how simple and intuitive qbittorrent's UI is.
