Heres the deal. I have a win7 and ubuntu dual boot system, and I have a kali usb which I created on ubuntu using the instructions for linux on the kali site. The issue is that when I plug it in and start my computer, it doesn't even recognise it and simply move on to the ubuntu boot manager screen. I've tried changing ports, the usb is recognised once I login to ubuntu but I just can't get it to boot fom the usb.
I also compared the sha256 hash provided on the kali site with the sha256 i generated from the .iso file, and they match.
>inb4 BIOS boot order
I set that to boot from external media first months ago, and receched it after my first attempt at booting into the kali usb. Its all in order.
Also, I have a GParted live usb which boots just fine.
Please help me figure this out.
If it's a bootable USB you can boot from it in GRUB

yea man, it takes me to grub, but there is no extra option there for the usb. I mean it just displays all the four options it usually displays if ill boot my computer normally.

Maybe you did it wrong

i went through the instructions like 10 times, each time trying to boot
Did you checksum the ISO before flashing it to the USB drive? Maybe the ISO is corrected
>wants to be 1337 H4xx0R man
>can't even make a bootable USB
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
>too smart to realize that your computer is trying to read the USB as a FDD instead of a HDD
You're gonna hack the Pentagon one day, kid.
