I think I just did a bad thing. Put this ram stick inside my thinkpad T500 thinking it would work then realize it didn't, put my old ones back in then it won't even turn on. Did I fuck it up?

Resit the RAM again. Sometimes you need to do it a couple of times.

This is unlikely going to fry the motherboard, usually it is the motherboard frying something else. I had a z77 motherboard frying 2 CPUs, the other b75 motherboard that previously hosted one of them was fine after taking the damaged processor, but the other one that was originally on the b75 mobo did not survive the z77 motherboard(even though it is already dead and does not turn on)
