First off: I've only been using LaTeX for a few days now, so I'm a complete noob. I did look up my questions on severl forums but I haven't found exactly what I've been looking for.
What I want to do is create a \newenvironment. In this environment (env) the text is supposed to have a different font (preferably Courier), be centered, and also have more space to the right and left side (see pic).
So when I put in:
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
\begin{env}
bbbbbbbbbbbbb
\end{env}
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
it's supposed to look like pic related.
I'm no expert either, but try this one:
https://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/LaTeX/Macros
check out the standard quote or quotation environment. There are also more elaborate packages.
\newenvironment{env}{\begin{quote}\sffamily}{\end{quote}}
should work.
