Greetings anons!
I am a teacher, and the technology inventory for our school
Has been a series of sheets and paper. I am looking to switch to an QR code/ UPC system. Is there any cheap/free inventory(ing) system that I can use to track the checkout and condition of 400 laptops, carts and projectors? Thanks.
you're gonna want to go with the Intellilink gold package
but really, the simplest approaches are sometimes the best
search for free library software and see how much is out there

I don't want to run the whole school.
I did google it, I wanted to see if anyone already has a system that they use to inventory tech. Thanks for responding.

Thanks for the bump
Well you a got a few options.... you can use excel and use the laptops serial number to log it whos it's checked out to, hard paper which I won't recommend. Also look on the Linux side of things.... try their forums and see what you find...
Snipe-IT is pretty cheap and offer discounts for schools

Thanks. I would like to have a system that I can use my phone to scan a QR/UPC so no one can screw it up. It's for an inner city school, so it has to be able to withstand 85 IQ teachers using it...
